Also seems like he's staying fit and playing regularly. He has only missed 4 matches this season.

Reading the Sporting fan forum, a lot of them consider him one of the best CB's that had in recent memories and the only one willing take the initiative yesterday by bringing out the ball from the ball and trying to create plays etc.

Certainly bringing what he's learned here to Sporting in a good way.

Wouldn't mind him back here as a starter once Pique declines, look's like he's really developed well at Sporting. Dumb of us not to include a buy-back clause, whatever, he's quality, I guess 40m wouldn't be too steep of a price to pay for a world class defender in this market.
