He is shaping up to be a good player.

He might not be as strong of a defensive Right Back as Sagna for example ( one of the better defensve right backs that come to mind lol) but he is a great talent, hes like a bulldog when it comes to how much he is willing to run and work for his team.

1 year in the bundesliga, 1 year as a top tier football player and he was ranked by Bild ( germany's most renowned sports newspaper) as the top right back of the 12/13 bundesliga season.

A player to watch, hes a classy level headed guy.

Had a good game, I thought. Timely interventions and sharp tackles. He should make the position his own long term, unless Madrid pushes him out for the next transfer flavour.

Scored a sweet goal similar to Alves vs Malaga (?) in 08/09. Isco with the Iniesta chip pass.

Edit: It is Malaga.

Good for him that he's selected for Spain. Already a quality player. Bigger potential than Montoya imo.

Potential? He locked Ribery down in both legs by himself. I suppose you can talk about potential, because he's 22, but he's already one of the best full backs in the world.

WHO THE FACK IS MONTOYA?

Only Montoya i know is the INDY 500 winner.

Classy. Real classy.

Montoya's only the guy who was ahead of Carvajal in every single Spanish youth team. Damn shame that Montoya can't get game time because of Grandpa Alves.

Respect for this guy , there were some nasty tackles on him where he could make some good dives , but the guy just stood directly up without complaining. Also , almost everytime he tackled a guy he went to him to make sure he was okay. Hope he becomes an even better player.

Yea he seems to be better than Arbeloa in a every department. Remember when that cnut Ribery slapped him during the semifinals of the CL? He just stood there and didn't get bothered. Ramos would have punched him right there.

Its time for Del Bosque to call on a lot of fresh blood in the Spanish squad with Carvajal, Bartra, Deufo, etc.

He is a beast. Funny how back in the day it looked like Montoya was on his level.
