Kevin De Bruyne

Imagine Neymar had stayed and we bought this lad straight from Wolfsburg to phase out Iniesta. Would still be a top 3 team in the world.

Would have been a bench warmer under Valverde. KDB struggled to play under a defensive-minded coach like Mourinho, so imagine playing under Mourinho 2.0.

Would've never developed into the player he is today without a good coach.

Disagree. He was very good in Belgium, and when he fucked off to Germany he literally became one of the best attacking midfielders in Germany within a season. Crucial player at City during the Pellegrini era. Regardless of the clubs he was at he always excelled and was heralded as their best player, except for Chelsea (for obvious reasons). He was always going to reach this peak.

There isn't a more complete player (offense and defense) in the world than this guy.

Absolute baller and the vertical component to his game is a treat to watch.

Yeah, other than under Mourinho he was consistently the best player (or one of the best) in his team.

Yeah but he was a #10 back then and survived by adapting to a deeper role when other 10's career's got destroyed because of lack of flexibility.

Also Mourinho didn't play him because he thought KDB was lazy. At one point that must've changed, naturally or with the help of a coach, who knows.

He is on another level, by a big margin the best midfield player in the world no one comes close to this guy. Crazy that Chelsea thought he is too bad for them and sold him but he is nearly 30 years old and still never won the UCL.

He alone would every midfield from any team make one level stronger. Xavi Iniesta Modric and De Bruyne are the best midfield players of the last 10 years.

Dont know what Chelsea fans think of that league title with Mourinho in hindsight.
League titles are great, but on the other hand, they gave away Salah and KDB, was it really worth it?

They gave away teh two best current midfielders in the world, it's insane. But Chelsea always squanders their talent. They did right by selling Hazard though.
