On the field he is. Off it it's a different story, humble and friendly is what I perceive of him. Not flashy, no social media profiles, does charity and is always hanging out with the South Americans/ Spaniards of Chelsea for some reason. It must be their barbecue and tasty food.

Like I said in another thread: He is like a Sergio Ramos who is actually reliable in defence. But does not have the looks so he is not recognized.

Clutch as hell goalwise. Scored the winner in extra time against Napoli in 2012 to set us on our way to the CL. Europa League winning goal in injury time. Those 2 goals that shit all over Liverpool back in 2009 when he was still making his name at the club. He's got a bundle of big games. Last year's winner at City was pretty awesome, his left foot is a lot better than we all realise. He's scored 30 goals in total for us since 2009 and 7 in the CL, the most out of any defender in the same time frame. Sterling reckons he's the hardest defender to play against in the PL, pretty sure Tim Cahill said something like that a few years ago too. He's always been solid for us, he's not perfect and has bad games here and there but what player doesn't?

Bild claim Bayern want him, and that he's keen on a move. I wouldn't be against letting him go, he's been awesome for us and we'll definitely miss his goals, but we have Dave who's forced to play LB because of Iva. Dave won't score goals like Iva but he's a hell of a lot better at crossing and will probably set up the odd few goals instead. Not to mention Dave is 5 years younger, Iva is 31 this year, still not bad for a defender though.

He now has 5 assists, the same amount as Ozil. :D

Of course Ozil has played half the amount of games, it's still funny. :p

MD claims that Ivanovic is an option to reinforce the backline in January.

He was finished as an RB by 2015 but it seems he did a mini-revival in Russia as a CB.

Funny thing is this wasn't the first time we were linked with him either.

We were linked with him when he was still at Chelsea when he wasn't playing under Conte during the January window as a possible replacement for Vidal who was still Frozen out by Lucho. He's a CB these days at Zenit.

The only reason this move would make any sense is he's a short-term depth signing while we go for De Ligt in the summer.
