1.2.torres,and by all accounts we had him watched A LOT but decided against going for him because it was apparently felt he might not fit in (kind of like ruud didn't) to a system that doesn't really have/desperately need a pure goalscorer (see our successes with ruud) :sad:

6.i'm jealous of randy lerner's sensibleness compared to the buffoon platoon that took over at our place.....and villa park is my favourite ground to visit outside of ot......team wise,they were always gonna die on their arses towards the end of the season cos of the intertoto early start,and they did,unfortunately.

2. What makes ManUtd different from other Premiership teams?

imo,the one stand out thing is the football ethos that was created by matt busby,and barring the odd exception (dave sexton) every manager since busby has tried their best to uphold that tradition and play attacking football for the past 50 years.not all have been succesful,but they've tried.
all the other top clubs have had periods of being rather dull and making no attempt to play "risky" football at all,and in a land of sameness,apart from the tawdry business side,it's probably the willingness to play football that marked us out as different over a prolonged period of time.

3. In what percentage is Park with you for marketing reasons?

a lot less than people think,i think.if he was argentinian and ugly as sin,but worked his arse off and gave high level performances every time he was called on,it wouldn't be in question either.

4. How do you feel about your club being owned by some billionaires from across the ocean?

i don't like it.i joined the SU-AM (shareholders united against murdoch) that was started in the 90s to help stop rupert murdoch from buying the club,which we did in 1999,but tbh,from the time shares were floated to raise money to rebuild the stretford end,a takeover was always likely. :sad:
the worst bit is that the premier league have a "fit and proper" rule about owners,yet a man can take the most profitable football club in england/world and lumber it with a 600m mortgage,just so he can pay for it.....????? THAT seemed one of the least fair elements.

5. Who is this guy?

the guy with the bowler hat is Ernest Mangnall but the peter crouch character is beyond my knowledge i'm afraid.
i'm old,but not that old ...it's the 1905/06 team!!

at their peaks....giggs all day.
beckham is imo the modern day kevin keegan.not as naturally talented as others,but made a lot of his ability and grafted like mad to better himself.
they could have a joint autobiography called Hard Work and Haircuts,(How to Succeed Using Both)

i like him,he obviously hasn't excelled this year but we've not done badly with him in his 1st season.
he's marmite to our fans atm,but love him or hate him,i think he can and will continue to be central to certain types of games for us (quite possibly next week) and over time i think he will only get better.

2- your assessment of Barca this season , considering there was some turmoil before the season started and 4 or 5 (?) left with similar numbers coming in,no-one could have expected them to start how they did,especially under a new manager.in fact,it's in danger of turning into an almost perfect season for them tbf Beast...hope we can put a stop to that next week though.

3- same as above but for Real i haven't seen many games of yours this season,but,considering how close you'd have been if you'd won the 2-6,i don't think you're half as far away as it appears.
