He can play on either flank, from what I hear. I might be wrong though.

He can play on the wing but there would be no point in buying him if that was to be his main position, especially if it was on the right where he wouldn't be able to cut in on his stronger foot. If you're buying Cavani you play him as a central striker and maybe the odd game on the left wing.

He has played on the flanks for Uruguay and also for palermo he mainly played in the flanks. with 70% of possession game in game out tho Cavani won't be doing much flank work. His work rate is outstanding, he's great with his head, he is quick. In big games, he can play as the number 9, with messi roaming.
