7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

Watching him is painful. Vision and a threat from the wing and outside the box. Hard worker on top of all that. If we kept Neymar and signed him along with Dembele all our problems would of been fixed. N/S/D with Messi and Coutinho as RCM and LCM. Threat from midfield, Coutinho with hard work, pace and pressing. Semedo a strong defender as RB staying back more like Abidal did making up for Messi's lack of defense.

Our board took one step forward and 2 steps backwards.

Nothing special tbh, he never shows up in the big games. I'd rather we just activate KDB's release clause in the winter.

What is his buyout clause? You understand that chasing him would end up like chasing verratti, similar owners, pep would probably leave is they sell their best player.

Coutinho is realistic option, guy is overpriced, but this are desperate times for barcelona and 100+ m for him is somehow okay

Not bitter at all, scored a few vs city, arsenal, everton etc. And kdb doesn't have a release clause

Haha, my post was a blatant troll job, can't believe you guys fell for it.

Coutinho is a great player and we direly could use someone like him, I don't think KDB has a release clause anyways. City would never sell in any case.

There was no way we would have had Dembele, Neymar, and Coutinho on the same team. Too expensive.

We couldn't afford to sign Dembele and Coutinho without selling Neymar.

So we can spend 120mil on Gomes, Turan and Paulinho but we don't have money to spend on Coutinho and Dembele pre Neymar, when prices weren't ridiculous? No, I beg to differ. With the proper allocation of our funds it would have been easy.

Let's not forget we spent 30mil on Paco too. Even 80mil for Dembele and up to 100mil for Coutinho was doable then.

We went for quantity instead of quality, and now that's exactly what we got.

None of that really matters as there was no way Barca were able to afford keeping Neymar and signing Coutinho and Dembele last summer.

For a start Liverpool were never selling Coutinho.

Never mind the money. He wants Messi to central midfield next to Coutinho...

Apparently you failed to process the rest of the comment. No surprise there though.

We didn't approach Liverpool until the end of the transfer season, if we had contacted them when it first opened things would have gone differently.

Even if we kept Neymar, why would you play Messi (a goal scorer) as a central midfielder?
