Come on man, he cost us 160 Million(Incentives together). A 26 soon to be a 27-year-old player who was ripping it up for Liverpool and was expected to help us out here. I get Valverde system is not the greatest but not all of it can be blamed for Coutinho's problems.
It's starting to look like he's going the way of Cesc, Gomes, Paco etc. Players who excelled elsewhere but just ended up not fitting well here. We really can't afford to have someone like Coutinho and his big price-tag+Wages sit here on the bench.

It was a promising half of a la liga season, everyone hoped he would get even better when he has adapted but instead he is delivering almost exclusively mediocre to outright horrible performances.
He is the 3rd most expensive player EVER, earns a huge salary but here we are arguing if he is playing better than Alena and discussing if we should keep him as a backup LW or not. We also already reinforced our midfield for next season with Frenkie so even less chance of him making it there meaning we have two LWs that costed us 130 and 160 mil.
That situation is just far from ideal or would you disagree? Coutinho isn't just any ordinary player, he was so god damn expensive that we have to do whats best to make use of that money what means we either get this work and this means he will be an important starter not just a player for rotation or we have to try to recover as much as possible by selling him and the longer he plays like this for us the lower his price will be.
If we continue with Valverde and Coutinhos situation doesn't change in the next 2 months we really should try to sell him. We are already at the limit when it comes to wages and it looks like we are going to spend 200M this summer window, so we can't keep the luxury of having a 160M backup for much longer.

I think we should give him a chance in the league by playing with him, Dembele and Messi up front and see how it goes. Suarez can be rested just fine, as the league is over and he has had an injury, we need him fresh in CL.
I still believe it is possible for him to kickstart his form again with a goal in a couple of games, because it is so damn obvious that he has NO confidence right now.
If he starts believing in himself by shooting from distance/dribbling and delivering the assist instead of constantly overthinking + looking for teammates we can get the best out of him again. But for that to happen he needs goals in more than 1 game.
