Said it before he came but I think he is the best attacking midfielder in the world and as close to Iniesta as there is out there.

Just pure class.

Should add.., excluding Messi but to try and put a position on Messi feels wrong anyway!

When he was on and Rakitic was pushed wide, you could see he was looking to play balls in behind the left back and no one was there. Dembele x Coutinho link up is gonna be deadly.

This guy has more Barca's DNA than players born, raised and trained in Barcelona for 20 years.

After only 20 minutes, it is evident that he fits like a glove and that he will be our 2nd player best behind Messi.
Or, our best player, among mortal players.

Messi and teammates were looking for him all the time, after only a few minutes on the field.
On the other hand, teammates ignored new kids Dembele and Semedo in some matches.

Coutinho already earned insane respect among all players.
Coutinho, teammates, fans and our tactics, it just all looked as a love at first after only 20 minutes.

I think he can be better than KDB in this setup. This was only his first game in a Barca shirt and was coming in after suffering an injury, but despite that he still looked a class above all of our other midfielders. Only Iniesta on a really good day can compare.

Some class moves. Howeveeer.... Noticed he stood in Alba's lanes few times and disrupted the flow but it's his first match and he was probably just looking to be involved as much as he could.

Can understand folk preferring either of them but for me Coutinho is one I rate higher and would have at Barca.

Couple times was hard to tell who was on ball Messi or Coutinho which is about as big a compliment as can get.
