Otherwise it should always be 4-3-3 cause our players just fit better there.

    Messi-Suarez-Dembele

and the a mix between Iniesta,Coutinho,Busi,Raki, maybe Roberto
Cou and Iniesta could also play in the front row.
That would be one of the worst frontlines going in terms of work rate and closing down amongst the top sides.

The reason he is most likely playing more of a 4-4-2 in defence is that Barcas front line dont have much energy to defend from front.

Dont see the problem. As i said, for some matches i prefer the 442 as well.
Dont think it was much different in the past when we played 443. Rarely any players in the frontline that were great at defending despite some exceptions.

Why wud the frontline need to defend with 12 players?

Excuse me but i would like to see any club lose a player of immense quality like Neymar and be undefeated in both UCL and the league.

We are not in crisis and when we sign Griezmann we will be the best team in the world with great squad depth.

No. We will be still just masking our midfield problems with yet another forward. We have 0 squad depth in RCM and DM. If Raki or Busi are tired, we are fucked.

He's box to box, good in one box defensively and good in the other offensively.

Doesn't matter if he roams, in a flexible not structured system midfielders
can have license to roam freely.

I myself played in a system like that back when I was a very good footballer it's very good for teams that prioritise possession like Barcelona.

Have you watched Las Palmas game? Iniesta was forced to cover for Paulinho in double pivot, because he was staying in no man's land during defensive duties.

Paulinho has been effective when pressing high up in midfield and giving options off the ball to Messi in final third.

When he has been deeper or on the right he has been shite.

EV recently seems to think Paulinho is there to play from right cover the spaces left by Messi and cover for some of the pressing lost from Messi but it isnt working.

The way Paulinho has been playing and trying to get into final third to help support front two cant expect him to then really be in position to defend as well.

Paulinho has been there to pivot in and out of areas Messi covers by looks of it more than any position role in midfield.

How do you know that's not the coach's instructions?

My point is he's cover either way so is Denis Suarez and Gomes.

The reason we don't have a proper CDM as backup is because Masherano was that player even though he rarely played there as Busquets is rarely injured.

We will sign a proper CDM for cover in the summer I'm sure of it

A bit late but this is the kind of stuff that makes me very very proud of our club.

Autographed jersey by the whole team, footing the medical bill and inviting him to meet the team, this is my club!
