**Make Barca great again** Discussion, wishes, etc..

What would you like to see next season?

    Personally, I'd like to see:

    Ter Stegen
    Alves-Pique-Hummels-Alba
    Xavi-Busquets-Cesc
    Pedro-Messi-Iniesta

With Villa being used instead of Cesc and perhaps Montoya instead of Alves in some cases.

    David De Gea
    Montoya-Pique-Puyol/Inigo Martinez-Alba
    Busquets
    Xavi-Iniesta/Cesc
    Pedro-Messi-Villa

With rotations for RB with Montoya/Alves and rotations in the wings between Pedro/Villa/Iniesta/Tello/Deulofeu/Cuenca and Thiago rotating with Xavi more often. This could give all the wingers some necessary playing time and with more of them in form, there is a wider variety to choose from in the more important games. Also I want the main big-game lineup to be altered VERY often depending on form/opponent so that we keep it fresh and we don't stay too predictable. This season the main lineup is pretty much set with almost no alterations and it has cost us quite a lot.

Edit: Forgot to reply to your lineup. I would prefer de Gea over ter Stegen because of the language difference and because of current comparison. This season United's defense has been dismal and de Gea has been peppered with shots yet he's played amazingly. However ter Stegen is struggling a lot this season with Monchengladbach due to the absence of Dante in defense. If you actually kept up with this, then you would know that ter Stegen isn't really as good as the hype makes him out to be. I underrated de Gea before but his form has convinced me that he can perform very well for Barca in a comfortable environment. Also, Hummels isn't always the best defender and he does have lapses in big games (CL game vs Shaktar, Euro semifinal vs Italy) which could screw us. He could put in a horrible performance on a day in which we need him most. I'd prefer getting a cheap, reliable CB from la liga who isn't overhyped. Just because Martinez isn't as famous as Hummels, doesn't mean that he is a worse purchase. If anything, his lower price tag would be an advantage for us.

    Diego Alves/ De Gea
    Dani- Pique- Hummels/Puyi- Alba
    Busquets
    Iniesta-Xavi/Thiago
Pedro-Messi-Alexis/Neymar * whom I don't want to see here, but imo it looks like it's already decided.

That's about it. Almost impossible those 3 signings will be made, but whatever ...
Also, if we are buying an attacker, I think this team needs someone fast and with powerful shot who can crack those bunkers up. Neymar won't improve us VS Chelsea like teams. Some muscle is definitely needed. And I'm not talking about big, strong no. 9 like Dzeko, Gomez, Drogba etc. I'm thinking someone like Bale would really improve us. Sadly that's never going to happend anywhere out of my dreams

Cesar(cheap and desperate for the big time)
    Dani-Pique-Puyol-Alba
    Busquets
    Xavi-Iniesta/Cesc
    Messi-Falcao-Villa
Falcao at the middle would show just how good a crosser Dani can be
Falcao-Villa would guarantee extra 70 goals a season reducing the importance/reliance on Messi who's presence on the right would make cover for Dani because nobody will attack us from that wing as both the opposition winger and fullback would be too busy/scared of Messi. Messi on the right would aslo mean that teams cannot crowd the center anymore which would also create space for our midfielders.

I also think playing Messi in the right side would be the best thing to do next season.

llorente is more realistic as he is cheap cause falcao is too expensive, we have a 50mil budget , with that we can get atleast hummels, cesar, llorente and maybe neymar from sales.

Neymar is a risky buy but could pay off big time. He could also flop big time though. I'd rather use Villa or get Aguero, who we've been linked with. Some have suggested Reus and Suarez, which would also be good choices. Apparently, Juve are willing to pay 30m for Alexis. If that's true, that would be awesome.

We have a budget of around 50m, right? If Juve really are willing to pay 30m for Alexis, that makes 80m. Selling Valdes could make that 85-90m. Afellay could make that around 100. Tbh, I don't think we should sell anyone else unless we need to. And definitely DON'T sell Mascherano AND Song, we need depth. We might want to sell one of them though. As for who to buy, we should go with De Gea/Lloris/Courtois/Ter Stegen (20m), Hummels (30m) and maybe Suarez (30-45m), Aguero (50m+), Reus (30-35m) or maybe Neymar (40-50m).

If Juve aren't willing to pay 30m for Alexis, we could sell:

    Alexis: 15m

    Valdes: 5-10m

    Afellay: 10m

    Mascherano OR Song: 15-20m

Which gives us 95m-105m to spend. 110-120 if Villa leaves (probably will if we get another forward). Which should be enough to buy Hummels, one of the aforementioned GKs and one of the aforementioned forwards (maybe not Aguero).

    De Gea/Lloris/Courtois/Ter Stegen
    Alves/Montoya - Pique - Hummels - Alba
    Busquets
    Xavi - Iniesta
    Pedro/Tello/Cuenca - Messi - Neymar/Aguero/Suarez/Reus

    *drools*

    Best case scenario (IMO):

    Lloris
    Alves/Montoya - Pique - Hummels - Alba
    Busquets
    Xavi - Iniesta
    Pedro/Tello/Cuenca - Messi - Aguero

I don't think there should be a set RW since we have so many wingers with different qualities. And people want variation in the lineup, and this is a good way to add some.

Btw, if all this happens, this is what our subs would look like:

    GK: Pinto
CB: Puyol, Bartra, Muniesa, Abidal, Mascherano (maybe)
    LB: Adriano, Abidal
    RB: Adriano
    CDM: Song/Mascherano
    CM: Fabregas, Thiago
Wings: Villa (if he stays, which I doubt will happen if we get another forward). Since we shouldn't have a set starter on RW (IMO), there won't be any set "subs" either.

And if anything happens to Messi, we can use the new forward (Neymar, Aguero, Suarez, Reus, whoever) as the ST. And we might have some cash left over to buy 1-2 more squad players. Now that's what you call depth.

We could definitely win the treble with that kind of team.
