Unfortunately this was inevitable with such a serious health issue. If I am not mistaken there was an interview published in Marca with the leading transplantation specialist in Spain who said it would be highly unlikely if not impossible for him to return unless he wanted to take a huge risk that is unnecessary.

A great shame for Barca and also Les Blues. I will miss him for both teams.

That is probably taken from a false facebook account..I am sure that the players don't know anything about this(and especially those who are new in the team) and even if they would knew something, the club wouldn't let them make any statement.

Tello, if true, will likely get a stern lecture on how to conduct himself wrt media...As far as his sentiments, it's not news...I didn't think it had properly been conveyed up to this point already but it would take an Abidal miracle for him to return to the squad...Never can say never as he has already been defying the odds but it's a very low probability

Again, it makes what the club did wrt his contract even more impressive...We support a great club

Bolton´s Ivan Klasnic had two kidney transplantations when he was about 28 I think, he returned... Is that a similar operation to a liver transplantation?

They are similar in the sense that the body can reject both organs, but not sure which one is more dangerous than the other and not sure how they affect performances.

According to sport, the guy with Abidal in the 1st pic is his cousin Gerard, who will donate the liver.
