Not sure what minute this happened but look at Messis face when he gave good pass(alone Vs goalkeeper) to Umtiti and Umtiti tried to reach for it.. Yikes. Umtiti has no flexibility or trust left for his knee.

It looked similar how I would picture 60 year old man trying to reach the ball. Clumsy.

So what up with him? He has a future still at Barca? Been playing well recently but hasn't really been tested yet.

Despite the fact he's physically nowhere near the same player, the defence seems generally far more secure with him compared to Lenglet. Much better passer of the ball too, Lenglet hesitates too long before releasing the pass quite often.

He is still our best defender in anticipating when to step up and press, thus keeping the high line where it should be.
Note how Setien preferred him over Lenglet (despite Lenglet having a good season) until the Corona break.
Pity he was damaged his knees with his foolishness, his body finished

In terms of technique and passing he is near elite still. So, he might be an option against teams that don't have firepower. Massive liability against fast teams with great counter-attacking potential.

Lenglet is donkey , and thats is one of good things Koeman sees , si he starts any defender before him when he can.

I am not optimistic about Umtiti, he is 30% slower now.

Could be good against low-table teams that are not so fast.
