Samuel Umtiti

We gain roster spot and also we can get rid of his salary as well. The team, which will get him will pay his salary, same as all our other loaned players.

A segunda or a random shit club aint ever gonna pay all of his wages. We need to sell him for a decent price. Also we only have Pique and Lenglet, what happens when one or both of them are not around?

We need to rebuild. We need like a lw, 2-3 new midfielders, a 9, a lb and a cb, 2 cb if umtiti leaves.
Loaning Umtiti out would be plain retarded.

Umtiti (26) is still French national and yes, we can sell him this summer for around $ 40 mi.. His contract expires on 30.06.2023. Chelsea and PSG are among the interested teams.

Pique (33) is under contract till 2022 and his current value is $ 27.5 mil.
No decent and respected team in Europe will pay that much money for a 33 y.o. already washed veteran. Pique is absolute garbage and the only place he can go play is the USA's MSL. Or he can be loaned to a third tier level team, which will pay 50 -75% of his salary and the rest will be on us.

They both need to leave and our board has to sign new CB's in the 45-60 M vicinity. Not more.

I don't care to who they are going to sell him as long as we get around 40 million. My proposition is this. This summer (2020) we address our back-court issues with 2 new CB and new LB. Next summer (2021) we address the needs up front with new central forward and left winger. Just like Liverpool did in the past 2-3 years. And when we sign new players, we have to be very careful. No 100-120 M salary anymore. They not suppose to be more than 45 - 60 M.

Pique would be a decent back up but you are right we need 2 new quality CBS.

SPORT:

Napoli are close to selling defender Koulibaly and are looking for his replacement. Samuel Umtiti is one of the candidates. Napoli's board have called Barcelona to ask about Umtiti's situation. They will have money and their coaches like the Frenchmen.

Adios Samuel... Au Revoir Umtiti...

Would Napoli even be willing to spend that much on a CB in the first place?

Even if they got good money from the Koulibaly sale, I highly doubt they would splash big money on a CB, especially one who has a ticking time bomb for a knee.

Are we willing to ask "that much" for Umtiti? that would be a mistake. Or you are talking about his salary
Well there's rumors that we want at least around 40-50 Million for him.

But those are rumors and his salary is still pretty beefy for a club like Napoli's as well.

I don't see him going to Napoli, but they are a great venue to re-raise his transfer value and sell to the EPL in a few seasons.

They are notorious for buying low and selling high, while we are the opposite.
