LFP give four Barça players awards

Messi has been chosen as the best player and striker of the 2011-12 season, whilst Iniesta was voted best midfielder, Puyol won the Fair Play award and Bartra declared the best defender in the Second Division

Awards are based on votes made by fellow players and coaches for the best footballers in the top two divisions

Barça once again dominated the LFP awards which are given to the best players in the first and second divisions from the 2011.12 season, with four players wining in five categories.

Leo Messi has repeated his feats of the 2008/09 season under Guardiola and taken the awards for best player and best striker after once again topping the La Liga goal scorer table with 50 goals.

Andrés Iniesta also won the award for the best midfielder for the third time, having previously taken it last season and in the 2008/09 season.

no doubt about that. most of them just vote, bear in mind this is the players and coaches, for the players who are very likeable in spain aka xabi, iniesta and iker.

those induvidual awards are a joke, but people like this shit. comparing and all that stuff.

Accurate list, although awarding Guardiola is somewhat surprise, but then again Real Refrid did get a lot more help from the referees, so maybe that did inflate Mourninho's valuation.

No way. Players hate Mourinho because he´s a prick. That´s the real reason.

You can't get away from the fact that there is to a certain degree nationalism involved in the voting, it is just inevitable when it comes to these types of awards.
Indeed. Apart from Messi, which foreigners won awards?
