Wow he finally scored a freekick after like 53 attempts since April of last year
Its almost a shame he scored this one, now he will take the freekicks for the rest of the season. Well, he probably would anyway(except for the left side, bale takes a few there). but the sligthest chance dissapeared.

He will obviously get to 6th but maybe those top 5 are out of reach. Currently he needs 100 goals to get to 6th while Messi needs 132.

I think its possible for Messi but with Ronaldo's age he will probably reach around 650-700.
If Messi keeps getting 40-60 goals well into his thirties, which i dont find likely. 700-800 goals is just too much.

Not well into his 30's. Right now he is on 444 so say 460 by the end of the season.
50 goals aged 28, 29 and 30 = 610.
30 goals aged 31 and 32 = 670.
20 aged 33 and 15 aged 34 plus maybe 10 aged 35, 36 and 37 = 735. Basically he could do a Romario and play up to his forties in South America.

Not impossible for Ronaldo either as he can be a great number 9 for years to come. Say he ends the season on 490.
50 goals at 31 and 32 and 30 at 33, 34 and 35 = 680. Then a few years in the MLS where he gets another 60 gives him 740.

If I were to guess, holding aside any serious injury and/or transfer from Barca, I'd guess that Messi would reach around 650 in the next 5 seasons.
As for Ronaldo, perhaps 600 goals.
That's "well into his 30's"
I'd imagine him retiring aged 35, 36 at most.

I think you misread the post. Morten said 40-60 well into his 30's, the numbers I entered 20 and below which is very doable at that age when you get 7-8 penalties a season.

Yes I counted national which is why I gave Messi 16 more goals for this season as he has something like 10-13 games with Barca and then maybe 3-6 with Argentina so about a goal a game.
