Mbappe is easily more more mature and complete at age 21, compared to CR.
If he have the same progression, he will surpass him, most likely, or be around the same level.

Nah Mbappe is too spoiled. He doesn't have Cristiano's drive to be an all time great. A direct rival like Messi helped Cris reach even higher, Mbappe doesn't have that.

Absolutely no chance. Not dedicated enough. Not talented enough.

There is this misunderstanding around that CR was this godly talent.
He was very talented, obviously, but also fustrating and inefficient his first few years, Mbappe is the opposite, efficient and ruthless from day one.
No guarantee of anything, but 21 year old Mbappe is easily ahead of 21 year old CR, just need to keep progressing now.

CR7 had 10/10 intangibles from day 1. Extreme work ethic, insatiable (plenty flame out after 2-3 top tier seasons like our very own R10), willingness to "master" the game (just look at his evolution). He also benefited from a super coaching structure of SAF in his formative years and a legendary rival in Messi.

CR7 at 21 was better than Mbappe at 21 by the way, playing in the prime era of the PL. Mbappe was better in his teens but not now. CR7 won the Ballon d'Or at 23 and I don't see Mbappe doing that anytime soon. Even this declining Ney ney is easily the better player at QSG.

As KingLeo said, acceptance and adoption of all the right concepts to make him one of 2-3 top players ever is what makes him uber-talented. Talent doesn't have to mean you are born with a god's gift to kick the ball into a crossbar 5 times out of 5 shots or whatever tangible skill you could name. His talent is the ability to continue learning and carrying out whatever he's taken on board to the T. And continuing to do so even in his 30s where most made players don't really do anything new anymore.

Once PSG stop choking in the CL, Mbappe is one of the favorites for Ballon dor though, as Neymar simply cant stop falling apart, cant be better than someone if you dont play.

They've done pretty well this season, ironically. Even Ney wasn't as much of a glass boy. Hilarious that coronavirus may be responsible for Liverpool's title being voided and PSG's only decent season since breaking the market being cut short.

PL will resume somewhere in June.

Mbappe is not overrated, I don't see many saying he is on CR/Messi-level for example.

Who knows if he will be more determined and tenacious when/if he joins Real and wants that CL-glory?
For all we know he is a stat-padder as well (notorious CR-trait), being pissed losing golden shoe to the goat and counting all his goal in training etc.

Florentino usually gets what he wants, and Mbappe is Reals project "rebuild" (ours is Lautaro, lol).
There is more chance that PSG don't win CL this and next year than they do, and this will tilt Mbappe towards leaving.
Of course every other team like Liverpool and us should do everything to land him, but in our case our finances are shit because of our recent transfers and our wage-policy the last 5 years.

Mbappe is the best option to replace Suarez.

Ideally our lineup is
Dembele Mbappe Messi
Griezmann
FDJ KDB
Alba Upamecano VVD Cancelo
MATS

From a sporting perspective they are in the same hole as we are. But yeah, at least financially they are much better run than us (and more professional). I wouldnt predict how things turn out though, there are rarely sure bets.

You are right about this: Before 2015 treble, many said Real would rule and we wouldn't win anything the next 5 years.
It is so exceptionally hard to predict the football future.

And now, turn off your playstation...
