Even tho we knew from Perez Real won't make transfers, Raiola now also confirmed Pogba won't leave United in the near future and they're focusing on getting his renewal.

Wonder if this is what prompted Odegaard comeback since United didn't even want to negotiate.

What's your thoughts on no transfers? Happy with the squad? Other than another year of Benz...

Not that happy, but what can we do when most aren't convinced by a weak offensive season we had? Same things as last year mostly.

a) Need a sub DM. Someone like Javi Martinez, Matić etc. Someone who won't cock up too much when Casemiro can't play
b) No word on if anyone has gone mad and actually wants Bale. Nothing on James future either but might shift him for ~20 somewhere. Somewhat rotten attitude doesn't help close deals
c) Isco presumably stays, Zidane likes him. With which I'm OK as long as we never play him on the wing ahead of more agile lads
d) No clue what Zidane wants to do with Odriozola if we're keeping Lucas to play RB/RM (in that order)
e) No clue what we're doing with Regui. Sadly looks like we'll need money off his sale to finance something else and will end up looking for 2nd LB when Marcelo can't walk anymore
f) Possibly need a 4th CB? But looks like we'll stick with Nacho another year even if he's falling apart a bit lately

Other than that it's loan management
- not happy we're keeping Lunin, lad should play in Oviedo for years to come, go get some vet keeper
- I'm on board of both Vini and Rodrygo staying as long as Bale doesn't sniff the pitch, otherwise it makes no sense
- Brahim needs to stop being stubborn and go on loan
- Don't know what we need Ceballos for this year. Loan and bring back when Modrić retires after Euros

Squad is OK, definitely needs action and Perez + JAS are passive as fuck in light of success, which is annoying.

i really dont understand why Pogba wont push his way to Real. what does he see in United? Its not like Real can't pay his high wages. do you know what the deal is?

United have improved and Perez avoided dealing with Raiola for years. Not gonna start spending hundreds now.

And no, Real can't pay high wages as it stands. Perez is penny pinching even with Reguilon next club (sadly) trying to offset Covid effects on future plan for Mbappe while paying for the new stadium and paying Bale's wages.

It's crazy having such a massive earner make zero contribution. Huge burden on the wage bill. Bale is a pretty much a joke in the UK too

Not really. A bunch of loans. Vallejo off to Granada for one more year and Ceballos likely to return to Arsenal. No takers for Bale.

Also sold Oscar Rodriguez (last year on loan at Leganes, he's the dude that missed the last minute chance for them vs Real that would have kept them up) for 16M to Sevilla.

Already made 66M in this window in all transfers:
Hakimi 40
Oscar Rodriguez 16
Javi Sanchez (Valladolid) 3
Jorge de Frutos (Levante) 2.5
Miguel Baeza (Celta) 2.5
Dani Gomez (scored 11 goals in Segunda for Tenerife, now at Levante) 2.5
Take loan to Villarreal 2

Perez did say he's not going to spend.

Alberto Soro, last year on loan at Mallorca (4 goals, 7 assists in 39 apps), sold to Granada for 2.5

68 in sales

James to Everton announcement imminent as well, somewhere in the range of 20-25.

Word is we may get up to 20 for Borja Mayoral from Lazio or Valencia as well and around the same for Mariano from Benfica.
