Great assist. He seems to have an excellent understanding with Suarez. Not the first time they've linked up in a big game. It's actually identical. Just slightly different angles. Good game nevertheless. Can't always be flawless.

Man these damn copyright and "not available in your country" things suck big time.

Shockingly out of position for Koke's goal and was sloppy at times but got better as the game went on and the assist to Suarez was splendid.

His position for Koke's goal is textbook.

Alba loses the duel, Mascherano goes to stop the danger (sort of), but he fails, Pique moves as well to try to block the cross, also fails, and Alves takes on Griezmann who was left unmarked. Rakitic should have followed Koke, who was comming from the midfield area. You take action to stop the immediate danger. That's what Alves did. Took action to stop Griezmann, who was attacking the box, to score. Rakitic should have spotted Koke's run earlier, but he didn't. Mascherano is also to blame, even more thank Rakitic maybe, because he does pretty much nothing to stop Saul. His position is the worst I thought.

So, Alba, Mascherano, and Rakitic. Those 3 share the blame.

Watched the replay again and in no way is this Dani's fault, Koke's Raki's man to cover. Both our CB's were drawn to the wing and Dani went to cover Griezmann which the pass looks to be intended for. Raki was slow to comeback. 0% fault on Dani here.

I want to share this to our friend Dani. Because he deserves it, for his loyalty and his professionalism. What a player and what a character!

When Messi wasn't just yet, at one point, the greatest of all time, Alves amplified his abilities to GOAT levels simply by coexisting on that right wing. Alves is to Messi what Robin is to Batman. A super sidekick.
