    Michy Batshuayi

Not calling Batshuayi up because he isn't in form but selecting Origi who - at that time - hadn't started a single game shows exactly how subjective Wilmots is. I worry at times that this will affect Michy's motivation to play for Belgium

    Kevin De Bruyne

Can't really see them signing Praet as a replacement for KDB. Praet's form has been terrible lately (expect the last game) and is considered the most overrated player in the league according to a survey across all players... I'd imagine Wolfsburg would sign someone who's immeditately ready to...

    Youri Tielemans

His first games were good, but his last performances were rather disappointing... His team isn't performing great either which of course makes it harder to perform well and I think their 4-4-2 system doesn't suit him as well as a simple 4-3-3 does

    Kevin De Bruyne

I don't consider him Iniesta-alike. Iniesta is far better suited for the Barca-playing style. That being said, he is performing great and I think he's a perfect match for Wolfsburg.

    Juvenil A

I haven't seen Juvenil A play for a while but I've noticed Cantalapiedra scoring some nice goals, is he someone like to be promoted (to the B team ofcourse)? Or who else is?

    FC Barcelona CEOs

Thanks! 'Director general' is indeed the closest to the CEO and I've been using the 'director general' for the other Spanish clubs but for Barca, I wanted to be extra-sure :D

    FC Barcelona CEOs

I know, but that doesn't really have any implications for my research luckily :D The distinction between presidents and CEOs seems to differ a lot between clubs, it's really annoying in my case. Anyway, I should just use Messi as CEO and hope either nobody notices or those who notice appreciate...

    FC Barcelona CEOs

Hi, I am writing my masters thesis on football CEOs and I was wondering (just out of interest) who is actually considered the current CEO? I know all the board members but because terminology differs so much, I don't really know who to consider CEO. The above was just out of interest. If...

    Alen Halilović

+1 There's also a difference between developing because you're young - which is something most players do - and drastically improving thanks to the coach. If Eusebio really had a big impact on Deulofeu, he wouldn't have needed a (second) loan. A better coach would for example have focused on...

    Romelu Lukaku

The part about the workrate is absolutely BS, I don't know many players who are more motivated than Lukaku. He's a classic example of a perfect professional, working over-hours, being the last to leave the training pitch,... There's an interview with him where he says the coach often has to...

    Daley Blind

Can't see him adding anything to the team/squad. He's a decent player, but we don't need him at all.

    Marcos Rojo

I think he has great potential as a CB, a lot less as a LB. If we can get him for a decent price, I wouldn't mind him.

    Jan Vertonghen

Not quite... he's not on the level of T.Silva, Ramos, Piqué,... but he has potential and he is a realistic transfer target. He's left footed, a leader with a great pass,... I wouldn't mind him tbh

    Eden Hazard

Quality-wise that's understandable and the expectations were quarter finals ;)

    Round of 16: Belgium - USA - Tuesday 01/07/2014

Please reverse that. Vanden Borre can hardly be called competition for Alderweireld, who's playing a decent WC and WC-preparation Vanden Borre couldn't even defend decently against Luxemburg. He is too slow and he'd be a nightmare when the opponents play on the counter. He was decent against...

    Divock Origi

A rare realist about the situation, couldn't agree more with you. Belgian press has this annoying tendency to overhype players and Origi is the latest example. Lukaku is gonna be a world beater, but he'll probably never be a technically refined player. Origi still has a lot of work on hand but...

    Round of 16: Belgium - USA - Tuesday 01/07/2014

Well but my point is that Belgium just isn't defensive minded, the games weren't interesting because the other teams were very defense-minded and Belgium isn't great at playing the ball around as fast as required I don't know about that, Belgium certainly has more power and aerial ability, but...

    Round of 16: Belgium - USA - Tuesday 01/07/2014

I'd always prefer Belgium over Holland. Belgium have had to play against really defensive teams but are always willing to attack. Holland on the other hand are very defensive minded and don't play with guts imo.

    Bruno Martins Indi

He's certainly more talented than Indi, but we should focus on a central defender who's ready to start for us. In a few years Bartra and (maybe) Ié will be top defenders so I don't really know where Kongolo would fit in. I'd only sign him is he's cheap and if we can loan him out a few years
