Tough one this to think of players on the spot.

I'd say:-

------------------------Toldo--------------------------------

-----Sorin------Samuel----------Woodgate--------------Candela--

---Denilson----Di Biagio-----------Juninho Paulista-------Kewell----

-------------------Montella------------------Ravenelli------------

kewell and denilson should be miles ahead on this list.

ditto all those "new maradona's" who turned to cack the moment they got saddled with the label.

owen definitely lost his way but if you consider that up until 3 years ago he was still a feared striker scoring goals for fun. okay he didn't start at real but he got the goals. moving to newcastle has phucked him so hard I don't think his arse will ever stop bleeding.

How about the De Boer brothers. Were supposed to be the next best thing of the Dutch conveyor belt but never did nothing really.

You could also make a claim for Riquelme and Ortega.

This is a great topic. My memory isn't good enough to remember plays that fell by the wayside. However i enjoyed reading your teams.

Although we were linked with anton ferdinand at one point, and he even said he was learning spanish. Im sure people started to really praise him when they heard the rumours..

edit: quaresma, dos santos..

although i must admit, honestly, when i saw this topic title i expected to see:

-------------hurley-------------

locke---sayid----desmond----kate

----------jin------sun-----------
sawyer----------------------jack

-------charlie--------------------
----------------mr. eko----------

Was at Old Trafford when we played Arsenal in the Carling cup it was a game that made Van Persie hated for his ex rated challenges on Richardson . That night Quincy was a joke he was dribbling himself into holes in fact I found it rather embarrising the lad had little to offer other then skill .

You can have all the skill in the world but if you cant pass at the correct time you fucked really.

Ive seen fucking hundreds the same at the reserves I go to alot as there played local and there are kids you think are going to be the real deal and they fall away .

Does anyone remember the super star that was Emre people were saying he was the best thing since sliced bread and where is he now back in turkey lol!!

jack is constantly saving people (and indeed has a compulsion to do that) - goalie anyone?

sayid is blatantly a DM, attacking anything that moves.

eko is the volante. calmly strolling around giving guidance and being awesome.

sawyer would be the pippo inzaghi of the team.

desmond is magic, ergo he wears the 10 and partners sawyer.

charlie is a coke-fiend rock-star. mercurial winger, anyone?

locke hasta be a fullback, thinking he's important (taking all the throw-ins) when he's not, really.

hurley and kate? big guy little guy, er, girl, defensive duo.

sun and jin are full-back and winger down one flank. like abidal and malouda for lyon, except openly in love.

-----------jack------------
locke---hurley---kate---sun
charlie---sayid--eko-----jin
------desmond--sawyer----

and yes I am bored.
