When Pep does magic with Napoli and Everton, you will make me a believer. Until then, this is yet another embarrassing post by Birdy equivalent of that Bayern trashing in 2014.

Yep, people forgot how he fucked up that 2010 CL campaign with his silly last minute ideas like he fucked the first City CL final.

The most talented team in football history + Messi ==> 2 CLs finger in the nose (we could have easily had 3 in a row)
2 Billions$$ with City ==> one CL

Even Xavi would have won a CL with Messi/Iniesta/Busi ...etc FFS !!!

At Bayern his CL campaign was ridiculous cause the Germans aren't going to spend 400 millions$ every summer !!

Leave Pep alone. Nobody else needed a volcano erruption to stop him for making 3 CL - league doubles in a row.

Nobody else comes close to his level of domination between 2009 and 2011. Let me know when a team makes the champion of a top 2 league look like a 2nd division side in a CL final. Not once, but twice.

He asked for Zubimendi and Bernardo Silva. Everyone knows this. Nobody asks for Oriol Romeu lol. A manager's dream, signing cheapos and rejects...

I bet Xavi hates the likes of Tchouameni, Bellingham and Mbappe...

I am sure the board handed him 200m to sign some top players, but he said "keep them, we only need 3m and got Romeu, Cancelo and Felix".

Really can't wait for next season to be the same as this one except we spent more money buying dudes like Olmo and we aren't doing anywhere better.

Xavi will keep getting sent off from the sidelines and whine to the media how much he's getting his feeling hurt despite being probably the most protected coach in recent memory despite not even being anywhere near as good as some of his predecessors.

Yep, he certainly deserves the keys to the kingdom.

Managing Barca is notoriously known for faking news and tweets that was never said by the journalists.

Aye, when things disprove the narrative, then it's fake news.

Here is the original article
You could have googled it yourself, wasted my time

Point is: Xavi is an ignorant moron who thinks he is entitled to Career mode transfers, and totally incapable of developing players
AND even worse, he has a notoriously bad ability of estimating what the team needs, as we saw here with his three wished players to achieve something 'historical' LOL  ,as we saw with the lever transfers also

It isn't about narrative, it is about the fact that it is widely known awful twitter page.

The article you sent says different things in comparison to the screenshot btw, Xavi asking for them in mid July when it was known we can't get any signing, didn't say he expect to achieve anything with them, doesn't even cite a credible source for it.

I hate Xavi signings, but no need to create more problems than what we already have.

You don't get my point.
Yes, he wanted Zubimenti and Kimmich above Romeu, as he thinks he is in FIFA career mode
BUT, even after he was aware of budget, he thought that he could create something "special" with Romeu, Cancelo and Lo Celso

That shows about his level of understanding of transfer targets and profiles, how to integrate them in a tactical plan

The original article doesn't say anything about special or achieving anything though.
It is just that he wants someone that is natural in the position. And Romeu is growing as an option.
The most we could complain from the article is him not realizing that unnatural CDM like Christensen is better than a natural one like Romeu.
And Romeu is well known to be Alemany suggestion that Xavi approved, rather than a direct request by him.
And sure, it is still bad look from him, but no need to bring fake news barca management clickbait over it

Xavi's signings are difficult to judge so far because of lack of funds to go after main objectives. So... need to wait and see if he's around by the time these FFP issues are gone. If several big money signings flop like with United and ETH, then his player rating ability is poor.

I like rumored names like Bernardo for midfield and creative attack, Zubimendi for DM, and Nico for pure winger. Those would fix almost all of our immediate first 11 needs, but... 180-200m...

If not he's gonna be a transitional manager that developed the youngsters, got a big title, and improved us in CL after 5 years.

Disagree strongly.

I've become indifferent to Xavi staying or leaving. He is nowhere near as bad as people make out. And the possible replacements mooted have been nothing short of laughable. But give me a strong rumour that we want someone like Thiago Motta to replace him and I would be all for it.

However, his signings and rumoured potential signings have been absolutely dreadful. We are genuinely fucked for years if they let him spend the money. He is too stuck in his tunnel vision view about football to be successful at buying players.

They are all of the same type. A type that top level football left behind a few years ago.
