Cesc was underwhelming here, largely due to injuries that slowed him down and being a mis-cast here.
He was brought up as new Xavi, when his game was entirely different tbh

It's been over a decade since that time and I may have forgotten or I didn't know this fact. Crazy to think we could've had the Croatian magician
From my memory, I agree that he was a miscast... Couldn't play anywhere in midfield due to prime Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets and young Thiago.. Remember him playing as a false nine a lot and his numbers were actually good, but that wasn't his position... This transfer was rather romanticized than logical.

Italian league might be worth following in terms of coaches, Motta developing a good career there, same as Cesc. Will be interesting to see how their career develops.

Fair play to him. By all accounts he has done a cracking job there while getting his coaching licenses.
I don't know anything about Como or their project other than Ceac and that they spent 10m in transfers spread across a ton of 200-500k signings.
Doesn't seem that Serie B is too difficult to promote from seeing as Sampdoria were fecking awful and made the playoffs in the end.
Still congrats to him and look forward in seeing what he can do in Serie A.
Back to Motta briefly. Not only will he reach the CL with Serie A having 5 teams in the new format, but he is also now up in third and above Juventus. Top top coach in the making.

Real assistant or legal one?
It seems he is the coach but officially an assistant because he doesn't have his license yet. Sort like how Zidane was when he was coaching Castilla
Hmm yeah you're probably right. Could be Cesc who's calling the shots but on paper he's only an assistant.
