Since you spoke about transfers in laudatory terms... maybe you need to check out some more facts.

Barcelona spent on their squad a total of 375m in transfer fees. 10m more than Notthingam Forrest. 40m less then Everton. These are teams from bottom table in EPL.
Where is the wage bill stats? What is Nottingham Forest wage bill vs Barcelona's?

Is this net spend or total?, net we'd probably be much lower

Under Laporta we have a net spend of ~10m and people want his head. It’s incredible where we came from.
Provide source for that value please because we spent 64m net (assuming we got 50 and not 25 m for demeble - which we all know we didnt.) and i think -120m net last year?

Not sure why Nottingham Forrest and PL teams net spend is being discussed when a Xavi-led Barcelona might become the first Barca team since like 1930 to end behind another Catalan club in La Liga.

You first need to sign top players. Those top players cost a lot of money if they are not:

a) rejects
b) old
c) bad
d) any of the above
Yes and also costs a lot of money to pay players like Lewa, who Nottingham Forest would never sign.

Transfer fees are coupled with wage fees and both are directly correlated to the skill of the player (wages perhaps even more so) so only using transfer fees is, deceptive, likely intentionally, as you know we have one of the highest world wage bills.

No Barca manager, regardless if he's Klopp or not, could win European trophy with these finances. Just La Liga, if Real Madrid are complacent.

I'm not comparing us to Forest overall. Just the money spent to sign players.

Of course, nobody is saying we are a very well funded club, we are behind in transfer funding compared to the top Premier League teams, but not to teams outside of England.

deflection tactic.

Yeah.

We're stuck with Xavi right now and yes he's a La Liga winning manager, but so was Bernd Schuster and I don't see Real Madrid fans twerking for him because of it. He actually set the points record with them back then too I think

Finances is an issue sure, but coaching is perhaps an even bigger issue, and I'm not sure I'd trust Xavi with a lot of money either when his first big money signing was Ferran Torres.
