Deco was Roque's big fan so I think he should be the one to sit down with him and Andre Curry and tell them something like "there is a big chance Xavi won't even survive next season and I still believe in you so why wouldn't we choose the best team for you to loan and play regularly, come back as a better player and convince a new manager". Should definitely also include option to recall him in January just in case Xavi gets sacked.

I think the main reason we want to send him on loan is financial. We can't register him next season. But then at the same time we should also stop dreaming about Nico, Bernardo or Olmo, lol. But ofc with delusional Laporta and Xavi this won't happen.

Maybe if he showed something vs Cadiz while Lewandowski was rested for PSG return leg... the manager would have trusted him more.

Our lineup in that game

MATS; Fort-Christensen-Cubarsi-Alonso; Fermin-Romeu-Roberto; Ferran-Vitor-Felix

Hard to expect him to do something with so little talent around him. Why not give him a game or two alongside Yamal, Lewa, Raphinha, Gundo, Pedri,...?

Not like Ferran was much better in that game and he got full 90 minutes. And he has shown nothing since then in his cameos to prove he should continue to get minutes ahead of Roque. The same with Felix who is also a loanee who should not return next season so also makes little sense playing him ahead of our own players.

I can understand the kid feeling some time of way, when Guiu is being played ahead of him and he's stuck on the bench for weeks and whenever he does come on, it's on the wings, he's a pure 9, playing out wide is just a waste.

You can only prove so much in training and no way in hell he's worse than Torres at 9, if that's the case, we just wasted 100m plus on two players.

1 is bad enough, but no one gets all there transfers right, but 2 would be unacceptable.

Play the kid, if he loves Torres so much play him as a winger that's the only spot he's useful

I said a year ago that I was extremely skeptical about this transfer.

Some are talking nonsense, saying Vinicius took 2.5 years blah blah blah.

People make a stupid analogy - Vinnie was a super-fast dribbler with excellent physical and technical characteristics even then.

What about Vitor? No great dribbling, no speed, no cool technique, bad first touch...
Yes, he may be a good shot on goal, but that's about it.

Do you understand how bad everything is if even the videos with his highlights are not impressive?

I see Depay 2.0.

My prediction: he has a 30% chance of becoming an elite player.

I really hope that this forecast will be wrong.

If Xavi doesn't have any intention to play him next season, sell him with a buyback clause. Everybody wins.

Or just loan him to Bayern for those roids.

If we weren't in the fight for 2nd place... he'd probably have played more. But as we are... can't blame Xavi for not playing him if he's not ready. He played vs Cadiz from the start btw, and did nothing.

Maybe if he showed something vs Cadiz while Lewandowski was rested for PSG return leg... the manager would have trusted him more.

Too much is being made out of this and Roque's entourage and agent pressuring the manager is not good at all for his case.

He should work hard in training and be patient. His time will come. If he is not patient, and demands playing time right now regardless, loan is a good option for him.
Yet how did we win that game ... lucky bicycle kick from Felix with the most shittest side we put out. Picking ferran in madrid game when kicked out of CL for him not to pass to his inside man and hog like he usually does and miss a big chance...? Maybe Roque could've changed the madrid game. Xavi is a fucking dickhead and I even would of kept Lamine on against psg and put Roque on second half as lewa 55 year old legs couldn't do anything. While we bent over for psg thanks to Xavi. In these big games you can smell them coming and Xavi and players getting fucking scared it's a joke.

Well that's a fair point. However, I can't understand why is a one year loan so unacceptable for this kid and his manager? It's not like he is a 25y old well established player. We are talking about a 19y old kid who desperately needs minutes on the pitch.

Historically, Barca loaning a player is a death sentence for the player career at top level.

Roque feels he is a victim of an internal war or massive miscommunication. He has done what the club asked from him even before we have even presented an offer to his club.

At the end, if he is feeling the club won't do him right, I think he has the right to think "you either count on me, or l will bring you a good offer and move on"

I can help him understand

See his game vs Cadiz

If you gonna scout a player for months
apply all kind of pressure to bring him early
spend big money on him
then decide he is a failure after one game
Everybody involved in that process needs to go.

But of course things aren't like that, and for me it is obvious Vitor is caught between two fires from two clans and he is the one who'll pay the price.

Xavi is everything but pragmatic so if he is not in good mood with whomever brought the kid to him, Vitor is fucked.

And the fact is we don't know the true level of the kid, his participation was so sporadic and chaotic like he is some super experienced joker to bring from deep the bench every time someone need to rest !!

Again, Xavi has managerial issues but playing youngsters ahead of seniors isn't one of them. If Vitor shows something he will be used more frequently.
We can be judgmental of Xavi for a multitude of reasons, no need to invent new ones.
Shows where? FIFA? Lewandowski shows every game he is a bum still going strong with Xavi. This Vitor is overated but they are rubbish anyway
