Xavi is the guy who made Ancelotti, a guy notoriously bad in leagues, win a league title for a 2nd time, something he had NEVER EVER done in his career in all the stints he had in different clubs and leagues
It's not the league titles that make Ancelotti one of the GOATs, you know that very well.

Shipped 8 to Girona.
9 to Real Madrid
6 to Paris
4 to Athletic
8 to Villarreal
3 to Granada

Plus the numerous games the opposition scored 2 but Barca managed to win still. The defence is a huge worry. Especially the full backs.

yeah bro but that's because most of the time our midfield gets overrunned, in some matches it looked like we're playing without midfield

give me good control in midfield and you see will the defence will improve massively, ofc individual mistakes lke from Cancelo or Araujo in PSG game are the fault of the defence but it's crazy how much pressure the defence have in every game because we lack control in midfield

a good DM is what we're lacking

I am talking about his league record, which was poor wherever he went.
He even manage to lose a league with PSG in France
Narrow argument. All in all I was amazed Ancelotti wasn't sacked last season.

People used to say Pep will never win CL ever again after Barca without Messi/Iniesta/Xavi. Did Redcafe blame Inzaghi for making Pep? Nonsense.

Perez isn't always easy to figure out, he fired him last time, finishing with 92 points, and semi-final in UCL, and despite the objections of most of the players.

Last season was by all measures worse, except we won CDR, which Perez don't really care about anyway, but kept him in the job.

Only when he was appointed mid-season in QSI first season as owners while having their worst squad in that new era.
It wasn't any sort of a surprise really or something to hold it against him.
His poor league form only happened in Milan really. Other than that he wasn't really bad except his first year in RM whete he could gave done better but caught while fighting in 3 fronts

The time has come to make tough decisions for the locker room. Xavi won the game against Michel, the fashionable coach in Spanish football, during an hour of play . The Egarense showed he had resources and different plans such as surprising his rival with a 4-2-3-1.

Taken from Sport.

This is the kind of press privileges that Xavi has had, yet complained about. They partly excuse the defeat because we won 60 minutes of the match.

They then excuse the defeat for the resources that Girona had on the bench, while lastly that they had a different plan which surprised us.

That resource being 31 year old Portu, signed for 1.5m euros in the Summer. While we can't give one minute to a 30m+ Brazilian international striker.

Amazing.

Sport and Mundo Deportivo the the two biggest traditional sports papers in Catalunya.
And they've both backed Xavi more than even Pep and Lucho got backed, because they see him as one of their own.

This is why anyone claiming he is being criticized heavily by the press are deluded. Sure he is criticized by some journalists and radio stations in Barcelona, by national papers in Spain and others, but the two heavyweights in sports press closest to the club have backed him regardless of how we've played and the results we've had.

Xavi cannot complain about the press hounding him. He hasn't experienced that, yet.

Well after 13 years of trying and spending more than 2.2 billions $$ on players (world record), and being in the most corrupt club in the world where he can get players sheep and at WILL no one knows how, he did win ONE CL with city and fucking the 2010 Barcelona CL run with the most talented team in the history of football.

whoopty doo.🥳

Other than 9 seasons of his career you mean?

France aside, not winning league in Spain for two seasons against Atleti, not winning with Chelsea in two seasons as well when the competition there was not great, and losing one league title to mighty Xavi
are all telling

You have to see the whole picture, and the whole picture says Ancelotti does not like leagues that much.
Can't be compared to serial winners like Pep or SAF

If i recall, didn't your buddy, Poch, also do that?
Yes, he did with PSG
But we can't judge if it's systematic as we haven't seen him with top teams able to cling the title for years in other leagues,
