[MD] Luis Enrique put pressure on Cancelo, Cubarsi & Kounde and left Araujo comfortable without pressure and had long meters in front of him to pass, taking advantage of his poor ability with the ball. Barcelona took the bait and Araujo made a mistake in a pass that rebounded and was expelled.

Yea that pass was never on, he fucked up with the pass and tried to fix it with his defending

Maybe if someone else had turn it over, he would have been in a different head space with the tackle.

Bad all around.

That's exactly why people need to be patient and see these players perform in true big games. Everything you do in your career is to grow as a player until you reach the level where you feel comfortable playing this kind of games.

We saw him last night, and he looked like he still has a lot of improving to do. Nervous as hell.

If he does come back from this, and leads this team in big games in the future, then yes, we will rightfully call him a top defender. It's a process. Step by step you play in these games, and in time you will become used to constantly playing under huge pressure against the best players in the world.

So far, he's not there.

Araujo is 25 already btw. I like him, but deserves whatever criticism he receives. We don’t need to sugarcoat it in attempt to deflect blame from xavi(which he doesn’t carry btw. We agree on that)

That's right. Also, you guys can still shit on Xavi for acting like a clown on the bench and being a bad loser.

Center backs usually peak later, for their position it is more about positioning, mentality, leadership, experience then technique which comes more natually...
Yes, he did make quite a few mistakes over the last year, but the leadership factor with him is there, the rest comes with the experience and yesterday's game surely is a huge one and I am pretty sure he realises he fu*** up big time and cost the whole team...
And again, with our performance we just did not deserve more than quarterfinal this year, we just got lucky with the draw and that opened a chance to get even to the final. Yes, that defeat hurts a lot, but I still hope and think that this would benefit the team in the future...

For me, all is forgiven. He did his part getting us this far in the first place.

For me it's gonna take some time to get over what he did last night. I feel the club is not going to have a better chance than this one for quite some time to reach the semis.

He had a bubble bath. Thing is he had a good first leg that could have been much worse without him.

He will learn from this but it hurts alot. You just don't need to touch the player at that point in the tie.

Besides, Bar Cola and Dumbcunts are pretty poor when they have time to finish. Would have probably missed.

Always known for his physicality/speed, never known for his decision making and passes.

why are people surprised with what he did and the outcome ?

Many CBs would have done the same or similar in the split second.

Not many CBs would have had the speed to even have been in the position to commit the foul.

Dont know why people always says hes so fast.
His reading of the game is quite bad so speed means nothing if hes 2 meters behind the attacker from the start and jsut leads to situations like yesterday where he has to make risky tackles.
His acceleration is also poor.
And passing is always random longballs without any accuracy.

Still would rather not sell him. Plays with passion and the club needs players that bleed for the club and are proud of playing at Barca.

But his inability to play the ball and make a meaningful pass hurt Barca big time. It was obvious PSG were forcing the ball to him and hoping for him to turn it over. Needed an adjustment from Xavi and the players.
