5 - Iñigo Martínez

For what is worth, doubt Lenglet is worse or more frequently injured than him.

Such a bad transfer. Makes no sense. The only possible excuse is that Cubarsi emerged after all the talks with him were completed.

We obviously overvalued his eventual contribution, despite having the experience. For such an experienced player, he makes many stupid errors.

Maybe pay him a bit, end his contract, because he's not worth the hassle to register again for next season. Or loan him.

Him being injury prone was hardly a secret. Doubt they expected Cubarsi to be a major part of the first team this early tbf.

True. Still without the signing of Inigo there was Eric Garcia. Who had to be loaned at the last minute to wage dump.

The signing was never a necessity, and now it appears we have a second season of wages to worry about fitting into FFP.

Madness.

Just the injury concerns along with his age should have been a major red flag, but he was a personal request from Xavi and the club for the most part have tried their best to give Xavi what he wants, with some exceptions like the Dembele renewal and Joao Felix.

In fairness to Laporta. What ever we think of his dietary indulgences or putting yes men in his board, he does give complete trust to his managerial choices. And must be commended for that.

He's this seasons Marcos Alonso except Inigo when fit is still miles away a better player than Alonso has.

Both ended up losing their places to home grown talent like Balde and Cubarsi making them outside looking in.

To be fair to Inigo I don't think anyone seen Cubarsi establishing himself this quickly at his age even though he was highly rated within the club.

Last summer he got the "budget" version of what he wanted. As in he requested Zubimendi, and got Romeu instead.

That's like asking someone what car he wants.

He says I want a Porsche. No, can't do it. Pick something else. How about a Mercedes Benz? Nope, something else. Audi? Nope, not that either, sorry.

Then the person says, then how about you give me the options to pick from.

Thing is... we have a good deal in place for a 2004 Ford Mondeo, a 2002 Wolswagen Bora, A Skoda Fabia, or a Fiat Albea. Which one of these do you like?

Well we all have been sceptic because of his injuries.

And this season confirmed it.

He is registred until the end of season.

Atletico wants him.

Maybe we can usd him to get better deal for Felix.

Again, short vision from our board.

Old, expensive and fragile player we sign, and after few months we want to get rid of him.

Lol, i think a fan called Inigo an idiot because he said ''It's the last time you call me idiot! The last time! The last time! The last time you insult me!''

That bum is apparently a dirty madridista, good for Inigo to stand up against him.

Anyway, it's about time club does something against these "tiktokers".

Injuries have always kept him back. This guy is a really, really good defender when fit. He was crazily good in those games late October, early November until got injured.
