Swear I was going to post "inb4 people want him at DM" after the game. Knew it would be suggested.

Press resistance is something that comes mostly naturally as it relies a lot on instincts. You could be the world's greatest passer but struggle at DM.

Tried it with Eric and Christensen and have seen how limited they are. Is that not enough?

It's a good question. I'm sure it has crossed the mind of the coaching staff and is something that may have been experimented with in Pre-season had Xavi stayed.

We have Marc Bernal (16) coming through though and very highly rated by the club. So there may be a solution there long term that can keep Pau Cubarsi as a ball playing CB.

Would have said similar of Cubarsi having watched him exclusively in the B and U17 though.

Pro football is a different game.

With that said though, yes, sign a quality DMC if we can this summer. When Busquets broke through we had Yaya Toure after all.

Which is still true tbh. Don't have any trust t him atm and don't think putting him in 1st team now will serve him well.

Very few who were rushed into first team were success.
