FdJ is still learning and will make mistakes but he has the potential to be central to Barca's success for the next decade. the He oozes class and has the toolkit to be one of the best midfielder of his generation. He shares a lot of attributes of peak Modric.

Actually if you watch the goal again it is FdJ that leaves the player that VvD goes towards leaving his own man free to score. But lets not let the facts get in the way of the total over the top slagging of a young player on the basis he chose to go to another club.

If it is true that Hummels and Benatia are both off the market, then Mathieu and a younger CB with the potential to be World Class maybe the best option. I really can't think of too many other top class centre backs so a solid old pro and youngster might be the way to go.
