Xavi acting like he plays great football week in week out.

Barca beat Real away last season with ten men behind ball and wasting time when could and have gone defensive to slow game down and see it out multiple times.
That's also fair point. He does play boring football.

Can't get good quality football when you don't have money. La Liga might have been able to overachieve in therms of European results vs Spain's economy. But at the end of the day the money isn't there, even when compared to what was being invested 10 years ago in the league.

No sugar daddies, no Arab states, no nothing.

Can't be mad at Getafe playing like farmers when that's what they are.

True. The league is declining in eyes because lack of investment. It shows everywhere. Refs, player level, coach level(all the best coaches are leaving) etc etc. It's so many things.

The league isn't declining.. it has declined already like the Italian league. Only people with sentimental attachment to La Liga clubs will watch the league but don't expect the mass of young international kids to grow up watching Barcelona or Madrid

This doesn't have much to do with money. Getafe play like this because they have Spanish Mourinho as a coach.

Teams like Girona or Rayo also don't have much money but they at least try to play football.

Local kids still love it(obsessed with Barca). I assume it's same in Barcelona and Madrid. They will make many future super stars because Barcelona and Real Madrid but like you said, outsiders? Tougher sell. Football isn't a life for outsiders or tourist. If the league keeps going down and down, it will effect even Barca's finances. Tourist bring a lot of money.

Any sane coach would play the same when having a shit team and facing Barca or Real.

I don't agree with Xavi often but he is 100% right. This is garbage.

If Pep or Arteta were our coach we wouldn't be watching this garbage every week for almost two years now.

I fell asleep late second half, which happens often now. Funny not so many years ago was impossible with excitement watching Iniesta, Ney, Messi, Puig.

Hate the new TV graphics package from La Liga. Everybody is going with these terrible minimalist styles.

Ref lost control of the game. Allowed Getafe to get away with offball tackles and elbows to the body.

Lack of width was an issue. Lewa looks like an offseason with rest had no improvement in his physicality. Pedri is not the Iniesta regen he was getting touted to be.

Dembele's departure has depressed Xavi.

Xavi needs to find a different system. His tactics were so bad. Araujo at Right back is supposed to be for a reason. Usually a superstar winger. Not some random scrubs at Getafe. Because then his purpose becomes overlap? He is a center back. Sergi Roberto for all his faults would have been the better choice in this particular game.

Old school Barca used the wing backs to stretch the field and then invert the wingers to have an advantage around/inside the box. Maybe Cancelo will bring us back to that? Problem is knowing Xavi he will be stubborn.

Are we getting to a point where Xavi is stunting the growth of some players? And i'm not talking about Gavi. Pedri did what exactly today? Kounde becoming worse and worse in the CB role. Abde is feeling he can shoot from 40 yards? How are these guys not drilled to death like Pep does his teams? Xavi was the brain of those teams and somehow forgot what they did back in those times?

Rant over

Bordalas: "The most violent foul in the game was by a Barça player: Raphinha."
That guy is a disgrace - look at some of the things Suarez did - I still don’t understand why nothing is being done about him . In England if there is a violent incident like the ones shown in replays the player would face disrepute charges
