Yep, the CL elimination of Bayern is totally on their board, how can you hire a coach ten days before a City KO clash and expect something good out of this?
They were wobbly with Nagelsman also. Suspect at conceding and not enough firepower in attack.

Still got some goal line of 20+ goals scored and 2 conceded the whole campaign whilst mentaining a clean sheet vs Barca, Inter and PSG, pretty impressive I'd say.
They should've sacked Naglesmann after the City tie if knocked out not the day before it, they made a huge blunder here.

Bayern had a chance. With Nagelsmann they had conceded 2 goals the entire campaign (Vs Plzen with a rotated lineup!)

They then sacked him and hired a new manager who had 2 weeks to implement his tactics until a do or die CL match against the best team in the world.

Tuchel will probably be sacked after a year anyway as he is not all that. Never won a league title in his career and is essentially rated on the basis of 1 CL win with Chelsea.

Bayern Munichs board deserve it for such arrogance, as if their team is that good they could just bring in a new face a week before all their important games. Chelsea owners rightfully get stick but don’t think Bayern Munich’s have acted any better.

They’ve made some questionable decisions ever since Kahn and Salihamidzic took over from Rummenigge.

It's not like Tuchel is an improvement over Nagelsmann either or maybe barely in the eyes of some of his fans.

Definitely not if he only had 10 days to prepare the game. There was no point making the change that late before the game as it was bound to lead nowhere good.

With that said, Bayern still played a decent game overall, but made some awful mistakes by likes of Upamecano.

I don't think the firing of Nagelsmann mattered much for this one, people can say Bayern play "nice" football and all that, but they simply don't have the extreme attacking quality that City has.

Stats can also be deceiving, yes, Bayern did not concede much before this, but its not like teams didn't have chances, combination of luck and bad finishing.

Now, if Bayern somehow bottles the league, that would be a different story.

People are overrating Bayern's defensive record in this CL. Barca and Inter were wank at finishing. PSG was kind of the same, with Mbappe out of form, but I do concede they had a superior setup in the return leg.
They just didn't met a team to punish them. Last night Upamecano was woeful and City played great in attack.

Up until the 70th minute there was only really the Rodri golazo in it, Bayern had chances themselves and was an even game but the lack of natural finisher did show that's true.

Last twenty minutes they fell to pieces after the Upamecano mistake and could have conceded about 6. Alvarez had a terrific impact too when replacing De Bruyne as he wasn't really having an effect on the game.

Were there people here that put Bayern as favourites? Just curious.
I will say this, Bayern were missing their in-form 9 Choupo. Would have been slightly different game with him. But Haaland is a menace. Even before the assist and goals defenders have their hands full with him.

De Ligt has improved a bit. Much more mobile. Apparently has changed up his training regimen using lighter weights instead of heavy one.

That's why I say that our attack was our undoing in the past two seasons in Europe. When you have an attack that puts fear into opponents it's a different ball game. Bayern scores 1-2 last night and City are on the ropes.
As good as City is at collective pressing, the likes of Akanji or Ake are no world beaters.

Bayern stan Birdy in shambles lmao
It's the same story every year with these guys. Beat up on trash teams and get pants pulled down by the first elite team that face
The Bayern hater probably didn't watch the game.

Bayern was great and deserved at least one goal, probably two.
While Upamecano handed a couple to City

Final score is a far cry from what we saw from both on the pitch

This is pure schadenfreude. I hope the board is happy with how this is going for them.

If we can also lose the league now, that'd be the cherry on top. Nagelsmann deserved better. Tuchel can only really be redeemed if he wins us the treble next year, which I'm already gonna say won't happen. He'll probably fight with management and be out of a job again this time next year.

I predicted City would win the treble when they signed Håland. I still predict that to happen. I don't see them losing more than maybe 1 more match this entire season.
I don't think City will be able to catch up to Arsenal in the league, and we shall see how they perform against Madrid, if they can get through you guys next Wednesday.
