Think Pedri and Griezmann are ahead of Puig in that CAM in Koeman's 4231.

That 4-2-3-1 as it is has its days numbered. It's terrible. In a 4-2-3-1 you need a pivot striker with great hold-up play. Think Haland, Lewa, Harry Kane, Calvert-Lewin, younger Ibrahimovic, that sort of 9.

Koeman is gonna sink slowly but surely if he goes on on this path no matter what he says in his post-match pressers.

I get the same feeling too.

We just have to hope that Koeman sees some sense to see that the 4231 will not maximize this squad.

Or at the very very least play the players in their right position (ex. don't play Dembele in LW and etc.) and don't play past it players (ex. Busi)

And of course improve his in-game management as it's the same thing as we seen from Setien.

He will use 4-2-3-1 till the end because of De Jong. He wants to bring back De Jong 18/19 level.

No result till now though.

He's an idiot then. What De Jong can be is dependent on every other piece being well put on the table.

True. Any system with a lone striker will sooner or later be down to that player's ability to play isolated between two defenders with no immediate help. At
least for a brief period of time. Messi or Griezmann are crap in that role. And so was bear-slow Suarez.

Until you get some real, pure, no 9 who is strong, athletic, has technique and is a legit bonafide goalscorer, any 4-2-3-1 talk is child's play. We don't even play 4-2-3-1 because Messi drops so deep so damn often.

No way was Coutinho going to be able to carry that extra muscle mass at Barca. Barca's medical/training staff is lightyears behind Bayern's staff.

Wish you a speedy recovery from your hamstring. Could be a blessing in disguise as we see Pedri in CAM or Messi in CAM with Pedri/Dembele RW

Playing a 4231 can work but we need to trust a not so CDM in a CDM position which can work; play someone with high work load. We have the following we can try instead of Busquets: Roberto, Alena and Puig
