Sadly Ter Stegen would have been crucified in here for punching that cross off Pique's foot right to the opponent's striker.

Ter Stegen already had his clanger away to Celta few years ago.

Now, if he plays like this he should not be moved on the bench by the sheer figure of Stegen. Seniority right is over. I felt he was super safe on crosses by Celta, even though the conditions were pretty horrible. No spills, rock steady, maybe 1-2 minor hesitations the whole game.

And he doesn't get too cute with the ball and kicks the brains out of it when needed.

Neuer was always a world class keeper, it was a matter of time until he'd have been back. So, no surprise Neuer schooled him. He is one of the best of all time imo.

Hes had a great couple of games. Would he maintain the level over a whole season I don't know.

But great he is showing that we have a reliable number 2.
