Ansu Fati (loaned to Brighton)

He is only seventeen. Sure I agree he won't be as good as them but give him more physical tools and confidence, I think he will be dribbling just fine.

He won't. Things like dribbling ability are apparent at this age. I haven't seen his youth videos, but if he's similar there as he is here he will barely improve. It's not a big deal, we still have Dembele/Trincao on the right side to take care of take ons and runs with the ball. Makes for a balanced wing set up.

He played very well but the opponent had a very weak match, hope he'll be on fire in game vs. Celta away.

Fati has been in the youth system for ages. Recall that him and Take were teammates at one point. If anyone should get credit, it's EV for giving Fati his senior debut. And Fati himself for seizing that chance of course.

This. But he has been spoken about for ages within the club and it was only a matter of time. But noone knew that he is THIS good.

Valdes did not discover or him or have any real impact on him getting to first team.

Arguably had less impact than any coach he has had at La Masia as only under him for a few weeks before season had even started and Valdes was behahaving like a nut case while at club.

I've noticed he only plays well for the first 45 mins and dozez off in the 2nd half. Even for Spain he played well in the first half and was awful in the 2nd half. Same was the case in Barca's pre-season games. Is it due to the age factor? I feel he is not ready to play 90 mins at high level.

The whole team does it.

The entire team visibly slows down if we're leading into the 2nd half. Won't really read much into it

I was very impressed by both finishes. The first one was a very difficult technical hit placed perfectly and the second, putting it at the near post indicates confidence, composure and general ease of play. 99% of 17 year olds would have gone for the much more comfortable far corner finish.

All the arguments about him not being fast enough or being able to dribble like Vinicius are just BS. It is more than good enough and when you combine that with a level of clinical finishing (including headers) and game intelligence that are way beyond even Messi and CR7 at 17, then wtf is a Vinicius?
