Lionel Messi - v7

Yes, whatever Barto wants, just do the opposite.

Besides, Bartomeu is too stubborn to negotiate. He'd rather give Messi another humongous 1 yr contract and let the next president deal with Messi's departure.

He is the biggest cancer on this club and Barca's transfer history since 2015 is appalling. I hope he spends time in prison just like Rosell.

100%

whatever precipitates barto's fall will be the best outcome for the club. they have spent untold millions 'building' a failed sporting project since 2015. if it takes messi leaving for free for the rosell/barto parasites to be ousted from barca, so be it

It's been in the news for long that he wants to leave for free. Google maybe?

The fact that some here know exactly what happened between the 2 parties that Messi first asked to leave then Barto said no so to get things his way Messi asked for free, this is such a stretch to imagine with nothing to back it up. Not even top journalists and big shots know exactly what's happening behind the back but some here know that. More than logical he has been asking for free since day 1 than making a long shot theory to put him in good light.

Your two underlined sentences don't match up.

If the top journalists don't know what's happening, then all the news is wrong so there is no tangible proof that he has insisted for free from day 1.

Being "logical" is not tangible proof.

If you see my post history, I'm open to the fact that he's a prick if leaving for free was the first option that he thought of.

Unless you're Messi's close informant, then nobody really knows what's he's thinking.

Sorry but you didn't understand shit from my post. Journalists and top shots don't know what's EXACTLY happening, a fair idea is still there. We know the basic details like him wanting to leave for free and Barto not allowing that. But posts like those that claimed he first wanted to leave to City for a good amount of money but Barto said no so he went to the extreme way of asking to leave for free as a show of force is too specific and detailed to be known by anyone and people are just saying it to make him look good.

Not to mention no news outlet even claimed this theory to be true but plenty have reported of him wanting to leave for free.

It was also reported back then that City have a contract in place and that even if he isn't able to leave for free then City can pay up the transfer amount, which implies he always wanted to leave for free.

You must understand the definition of what tangible proof is. That's what I am arguing against you.

would be pretty hilarious if true

Messi wants that juicy sign on fee as a free agent and City don't want to pay a transfer fee = Barto was right, take the fucker to court

@BBZ has one thing right for everyone who has watched Barca closely. Messi after 12-13 gradually showed signs of physical decline, which was weird for his age. All the other stuff is pure speculation and ignoring of the circumstances, a.k.a:
Argentina was a Mess and still marginally lost to Germany the WC in 2014'. They also marginally lost some Copas after that. That is why cup competitions are weird, you can lose by details and can certainly not blame one player for that.
Barca hired bad managers and never reconstructed with equal players after 2012. We have been in free fall - that was only stalled by Messi after a while.
Carrying a mediocre team to the level of top tier teams is a big burdain.

2013 was the year of injury after injury for Messi. I know all along after he came back he will change something on how he play. Already saying for years that i rather have Messi without injury than running Messi

That's because Jordan falls in the .1% of athletes, dawg.

GOAT talent. GOAT mentality. GOAT leader.

Messi is the GOAT talent in football, but he doesn't have the best mentality or leadership skills on/off the pitch.
I love when people got fooled by this Jordan narrative. The most protected NBA player ever, he is NBA and Big Corporations product. They created his image, players can't defend him because the moment you touch him it's a foul. Won nothing without Pipen and PJax. Won something when NBA is watered down and the 80s players are old. Retired when there's a competition with Hakeem. Bulls still a winning team without him with Pipen. Lose to Magic after he came back but media don't talk about it. Messi and Jordan were treated differently

dude, with all due respect:

Messi plans on leaving for FREE, everything is pointing to this now. City won't pay 100mil for him and Messi will get a sign on fee if he joins them as a free agent, it doesn't make sense for either party to 'get Barca a deal'. he is using a contract meant to allow him to return to Argentina for free to join an oil club, that is disgraceful in itself and then remember hes our captain!

Barto is a clown we all know this but hes playing this situation correctly.

And how did you even know that he want it for free. And who really know what's on that contract anyway. Why you people keeps an debating about the contract you guys don't have any idea what's written. Every you read from this journa you take it as FACT 😆

It should be 100% the boards fault on the way both Neymar and now Messi departed from Barcelona. And funny enough Messi might sue as well  It's a referendum on Barto if the club's top superstars leave with a drama filled transfer on top of a civil case  When is that vote of no confidence happening?
