Bro/brother/mate is "brat" in Croatian.

But, the same as in Latin, we have: nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, ablative, and vocative. (Actually, we have 7 of them).
In Latin it's iirc: terra, terrae, terrae, terram, terra, terra
So, the language is quite complicated to foreigners (compared to English, for example).

In nominative it's "brat".
But if you say: hey, bro, then it's: hey brate.
It's: brat, brate, bratu, brata, brate, bratu, bratom (nominative, genitive, dative etc)

So, my first reaction was: brat which is a brat in English...

Btw, I don't think that Rabiot is THAT good.
But he always got an unfair treatment here.

Imo, if Arthur's realistic skills are 60/100:
= on our forum, he was hyped up to 90/100 skills because he had 2 moves like Xavi
Puig's skills are also 60/100:
= but becuase he has some shiny moves which resemble on better days, he is also overhyped to insane levels

On the other hand, Rabiot, who has skills, imo, let's say 70/100:
= was always rated as only 40/10 or 50/100 player here because he is tall, his moves aren't silky, his turns aren't fast and eye-pleasing like of Arthur/Puig or shorter players. Plus, he has nothing in common with skills with a classic Barca DNA.
And I lose nerves when we have collective bias and delussion here so I need to defend EV, Rabiot and similar guys.

So, it is not as if I cry at home because we didn't buy him.
But imo, he is similar to EV. Insanely underrated here.

Sorry one more time for my remark about brat/brate.
Again, I though this is the yearly 801st insult towards me ;)

My problem with Rabiot is his shit, entitled attitude and how the idiot Abidal tried to sign him over Frenkie.

Frenkie is the type of player who will demand the club to improve and do better while working hard while Rabiot is the type to sulk and get his mom to complain. He's not garbage, but he's average imo.

And I couldn't be happier that Veronica Rabiot backed out of a deal with Abidal which forced Bartomeu to save face by signing FdJ. Too bad it also made it easier for Frenkie's agent to demand a huge salary, but you reap what you sow I guess.

Furthermore I think Barca need to get more athletic players for the midfield. Players who are agile, quick on and off the ball.

I know, I know the story.

But, majortiy of guys imo wouldn't want Rabiot even if he had a perfect personality.
Because he just isn't Barca's DNA player.

Look at Arthur again.
People defended his STDs, partying, scooter, snowboarding, being fat, stamina, smoking.
Bceuase he had Xavi's turn.

Honestly, people here hate Rabiot, Rakitic and similar guys because they are not Barca DNA, especially not Barca's DNA from Pep's days.
Yet, guys who show 1-2-3 shiny traits from that era will get 100 credits.

Imo, even Halaand who might turn into the future Ballon D Or winner was never THAT MUCH loved here.
Because he is tall, when he runs he isn't eye pleasing and similar.

Also, love him or hate him, Rabiot has actually showed huge improvement.
Rememeber that he hasn't played for several Months at Psg and he was totally out of form.
Yet in his first season in a new country and after being out of form, he managed to turn into one of their best players.
We have to give him credit for that. He showed some fighting spirit and a will to fight and improve.

Again, he is probably not good enough for us, but he is nowhere near as bad as portrayed here.
I mean, people hate Rabiot, and yet a lot of guys here think that Alena might be a decent player for us.
One of them has earned his place at Juventus, the other one can't win a place at Betis.

That's the type of Barca DNA bias I don't like and which I don't have because I was never too connected with Pep's era since my football brain was wired in 90s.

Same with the frontline. Messi Suarez and Griezmann run like geriatrics collectively. Surround Messi with a younger, mobile striker and a speedy winger that can run behind.

My problem isn't the Barca DNA, but the lack of athleticism and speed in the team while other teams have plenty of such players.

One of the reasons I like someone like Eduardo Camavinga so much. Speed, athleticism, tenacity, good passer. Could be the perfect CDM alongside Frenkie.

I'd sell Alena(don't rate him) and potentially loan out Pedri and sign Camavinga if we could. Especially if Rakitic and Vidal are sold.

Not going to happen ofc.
