Not sure how I feel about this one. I do not really like his profile (a bit clunky and not fast enough), but I think we should wait a bit more, one season at least. He might improve greatly under M. Pellegrini.

so true, abidal looks like shit in comparison. maldini got rid of players like suso and piatek and managed to sign ibra, rebic, leao, bennacer, kjaer, and theo for €60m. that's half of their starting XI.
meanwhile, abidal is helping bartomeu balance the books by signing 30+ year olds while also looking for french players in his free time

What happened to Piatek, used to see his name pop up all the time when he was at Milan. Was he not good enough?

He ended up being one of those young players who exploded onto the scene and had teams willing to break the bank for him but later down the line it turns out he's not as good as people thought he was once the goals started drying up.
A lot like Jovic actually, except older and more limited. He's in Germany now playing for Hertha and not lighting it up there either.

from what i've seen, he was good in his first 3 months, but shit after, missing many chances, zero movement, and having a terrible touch
. the other forwards - leao and rebic - were out performing him as was ibra. so when an offer arrived from hertha they sold him since he was a bench player on high wages at that point
