I think the refereeing as a whole in La Liga is inconsistent and of a poor standard, VAR has ruined the game pretty much worldwide but there's no consistency on what's a penalty one game and the next. Or what even warrants the offence being checked in the first place.

VAR has done nothing, but good things for the game. All it has done is take the responsibility away from a sole individual who would be hounded by crowds full of idiots over marginal calls. It was never going to 'fix' the game, only make people bitch about the system rather than one or two people.

We will have to agree to disagree on that one.

Why cant people admit refs are making Madrid Champion this year? Same as 2012 and 2017.
For those doubting it, why does every 50/50 decision goes their way and whenever its tough they get a penalty or a goal gets dissallowed.

In opposite fashion we get screwed over a lot more. Last match vs Atletico. That would not happen to Madrid.
Madridista's shameless denying of this is laughable. Stolen titles, cant win by themselves.

Exactly and they did that not only in LL but also in CL (2016-2018).

 Shocking coming from the team who has benefited the most in the world. VAR is so arbitrary in what they check, and even when they do check stuff, it's interpreted differently depending on whether it's Madrid or anyone else.

You may choose to troll here, but deep down you know the truth, just like all of us. You've won the title using VAR shithousery even AFTER how garbage we have been. Tells you how shit this Madrid team is, considering we're basically at our lowest point in over 10 years.

I love VAR, it's the inconsistency and the incompetence from the referees that pisses me off.

I have serious doubts wheter it's really incompetence. Too many coincidences start to raise serious questions. Nobody really likes to believe in conspiracy theories, but sometimes a thing like Calciopoli is exposed.

Also, notice how these errors don't happen when we have a big edge in points. This only happens when the title fight is close. I still remember the ball going in vs Betis and Valencia 1 meter in. Those 4 points cost us the title in the end.

Exactly like they did in LL 2012 and 2017. I was hoping VAR would eliminate the rm traditional refereeing but I couldn't be more wrong than that.

People justifying horrific ref calls against their own team, or what amounts to the same thing, preferential calls for their direct rival, based on "but our team is worse than it should have been" is one of the most infuriatingly stupid things in world football.
Yeah its like football fans trying to be politically correct about it is annoying. Just call it like it is.

Yeah, in this case serious questions need to be raised.

VAR is arbitrary because the referees are arbitrary. Says absolutely nothing about the system itself. Presence of review is a huge leap towards fairness in the game. Learn some comprehension of what you're talking about.

Y'all are emotional, because a shithouser team a) got a penalty given against after fouling somebody; b) didn't get a penalty when trying to force one; or even c) because a player who was protecting his teammate that got into an argument with a headless chicken Muniain didn't get a card.

Couldn't make it up.

Good news, marca just reported Ramos stamp was unintentional and therefore no penalty. We can go home now.

As ever with Ramos, prove otherwise. Nothing has changed there. Doesn't make every one of these the opposite.

Yea, but I don't think there are any money involved. I think Madrid are simply the most popular Spanish side. And that Barcelona are in some ways not even seen as a true Spanish side, hence the resentfulness. They are anti-Spanish in some ways, with most of their legends being open pro-separatists. It's mostly political if there's some foul play involved.

For me, it's highly suspicious how these great and many errors happen only in tight duels. When were are outperforming Madrid by many points, you barely ever see these errors. But when it's neck and neck, they start to appear almost every other game.

Ok, so this time I buy the coincidence thing. Next time again, maybe it's still coincidence. But the 3rd and 4th time, I start to question if this is really just coincidence.

This is how we lose close titles. Stonewall pen. then goal with 2m over the line. And nothing given.

Or this. Same season mind you .

Guess who clenched the title by a whisker?
