Just gotta feel bad for him, he is surrounded by spineless disgrace, and in the end it's all about downplaying Messi, if there are no results, nobody will remember how you played, people just remember final score...

Let's hope Leo scores vs. Qatar

as trash is Argentina not that Messi in these 2 games has particularly shined, he barely had few moments of magic in 180 minutes, his passing tonight was catastrophic for his standard.

Next match against Qatar that have nothing to lose and looked far better than Argentina in both games but it still Qatar, not even a south american team , we can only imagine the massive shitstorm on Messi if they go out in a tournament where even the best thirds go to the Ko stages, it would be another huge blow to his legacy and a big, fat goodbye to the ballon d'or.

The day he will retire is the day I will be done being such an invested fan.

Last night when he was about to take a penalty , my heart seemed like it went over 200 beats/second, all nervous. This is in a game against fucking Paraguay.... I won't talk about games like Roma or Liverpool.

I can't do this to my health.

It's unbelievable how bad they are.

Aguero is a shambles for Argentina. At least Higuain was in the position to miss sitters, Aguero offers nothing.

Non-existent midfield, bomb scare at the back.

Makes no sense to not play Dybala when nothing is working.

i've been critical in the past about Messi for Argentina but nobody, not even Maradona himself could inspire these worthless players to victory.

when you have Otamendi brainfarting so much hes shitting himself and a midfield that cant string 2 passes together.. last place in the group is probably to be expected

I stopped watching Argentina 5 years ago.

With my incredible football knowledge, I could easily foresee that 2014 was the closest they would ever get to that trophy or any other relevant trophy.

Feel incredible to not care or watch Argentina lmao.

This Argentina team will probably go down as one of their worst teams ever smh but let's not act like Messi had a good game.

He didnt have his best game but have you seen his teammates. They did nothing to support him. Messi was the only one trying to do something last night.

It is pointless to always blame his teammates when he didn’t perform to his usual standards consistently when playing for Argentina.

At least for us when everyone else sucked he continued to excel, not the same case with Argentina. It feels like he had more bad games than good games with Argentina.

Except they got closer to a trophy in 2015 and 2016

I think you really need to put yourself in Messi's shoes to understand wtf is going on. I watched his game against Paraguay and man that performance was shocking...esp after the stellar season he had. The free kick he took sums it up.
I think he's mentally deflated from trying to carry this team. Literally no one else on this team can score and he probably feels like its down to him everytime. Imagine feeling like this then getting croweded out by like 4-5 players each time you
even get close to the goal.

And then even if you do make it past all this and still score...the defence somehow finds a way fuck it up and undo all your hardwork. Mentally its a huge toll and makes a little bit of sense as to why hes moping around on the field alot. Like fuck imagine knowing your team has no chance and still you try...and when they lose you get hit with all the criticism. Not saying his performance against Paraguay is justified...but maybe bit more understandable. I would seriously check his mental health after this tournament...cause if he doesn't even get out of the group stage it cant be good.

Then after all this he has to come back to playing with the likes of Raki, Sergio, Coutinho & Saurez. *faceplam* haha
