Well - We threatened Munir of doing something similar! No fucks given when it comes to morality by our board of late

They could have sold him to Barca, but their Ego wouldn't let them. We sold Munir to Sevilla.

Well but tbf that was probably because they have a grudge against us, not to fuck with Rabiot. I don't think we would've sold Munir to PSG for peanuts tbh and we don't even have oil money.

Still it is a different case: We wanted to sell Munir because he is simply not good enough for our team and we told him that we wouldn't use him this spring (fair play, imo). Rabiot is benched for political reasons (message to future players, the club is so insecure it wants to look strong in every way possible, etc.).

Imo we have been too considerate of the players wishes when it comes to loan-clubs/selling them to highest bidder the last couple of years, if anything.

Just no! lol, Munir was never good enough for Barcelona and was happy, doing well in Valencia when on loan playing 30 games. Valencia wanted to buy him for 8m while Barcelona insisted on 12m. A similar thing happened with Alaves, He wanted to stay but the management forced him to come back. Eventually, he didn't get minutes and sold for 1m.

I agree that the club should have realized that he is just too bad a footballer for FC Barcelona. Same with Deulofeu, waste of time, space and money to bring him back. We can't have both: being gentlemen towards our players + getting the most money out of them. I want us to not bend over for players demands, but try to secure some money for our expensive investments.

We shouldn't be dicks like PSG obviously, but we are far from that right now.

Fully agree with everything you said. If you go full PSG you are going to eventually get a bad rep among world class players--they want some freedom. How we treated Pedro, Inietsa, Xavi, Cesc, Dani (extended another year with him having an option for another one)--even some of them left with us in a compromised position depth wise, reflects well on the club. I don't think we treated the marginal players like Munir, Sandro, Denis, Mattiue, Deulofeu, Arda, bad, just didn't work out always optimally for us financially wise--some of that is just experiments with players that didn't pay off. It happens when you only play Barca quality players and you just can't always find out until they are with us a while.

I suspect whether Coutinho, Rakitic, Vidal or Malcom leave, we will also work with the player, and show class (with him well, thank you for your service to the club, etc) about it.

I see it will be big mistake to let Coutinho or Malcom to leave.
Malcom is young and has lot of potential, and he did not have enough chances to prove himself.
Coutinho we all know he is a top player, having a bad season does not mean he is not a top player anymore, he is a player if he gets back to form will lead Barca post Messi

I can in a way respect his 'no fucks given' attitude

Well, Rabiot should not be blamed for PSG vs MU. We can consider him being not a PSG player anymore.

However, he is not to be respected either for his attitude.
He just doesn’t care about anyone or anything being not Rabiot. He is not a bad guy but hardly a model either. Just the random guy.
His story shows that.

I've never liked the guy, but I can envy people who live their life without giving a fuck about what people think about them.

Some reports say that Zidane wants to sign Rabiot as Modric's successor:
https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/real-madrid/adrien-rabiot-zinedine-zidanes-secret-signing-7362130

Adrien Rabiot's future is one of the big mysteries of the transfer market. He is not renewing at PSG and has been kept apart from the team. His contract expires in June. Where will he go?

Curiously he's not committed to any club in public, despite being a young footballer of a high level. Rabiot seemed close to Barca, but they signed De Jong and there is now distance between Rabiot and the Catalans.

OKDiario say that he could be Zinedine Zidane's secret signing. They say that the club see him as a replacement for Luka Modric in the medium term. The Croatian is 34 years old and Madrid want a player with similar characteristics.
Rabiot's arrival would not displace Modric immediately, because the Frenchman can play as interior or central midfielder or deeper. The player is free to join in June but he wants around 15 million as a signing on fee.

BBZ, we both could write for OKDiario. They take rumors from other sites and write articles portraying it as their own information
