While it would be romantic if the likes of Alavés, Eibar, Getafe (yes even them) made the CL it would be bad news for Spanish football and the UEFA coefficient list as those clubs would likely have little chance of progressing from most CL groups.
I want Valencia to make it now that Sevilla and Real Betis look unlikely to make it given their form. We need the strongest teams (financially the strongest and with the most potential for further growth) to grow. Not mid table or likely potential relegates like Getafe, Eibar and Alavés. The first two barely have any fanbase ffs.
We need clubs like Real Zaragoza (one of the historical big clubs in Spanish football from one of the largest cities with one of the best fan bases), Deportivo de La Coruña, Sporting de Gijón, Real Mallorca, Málaga, Real Oviedo and such clubs back.

Don't like Getafe but Pepe Bordalas is doing amazing job with them. I could easily see him replacing Simeone at Atletico in a few years.
Abelardo is also doing great with Alaves.
On the other side both Seville clubs are struggling and both Machin and Setien could be on a hot seat if things won't improve soon.
And Celta has made their second coaching change of the season. Former Villarreal manager Fran Escriba is replacing Miguel Cardoso.
I found this interesting stat about Portuguese coaches in La Liga. 7 of them lasted less than 15 games in charge.

I hope Escriba can save Celta but they really have Aspas-dependencia. I've read they've only won 1 of the last 18 games when Iago didn't start/play.

It's amazing is it not? Some people just look younger than they are. It is often genetic. My father's side of the family is like that. I think that we can all recall those friends that looked like people in their 20's when teenagers. At that time it was a plus, a few years down the road it proved fatal.
In any case that Bordalás transformation is something else.

Leganés is somewhat of their bogey team. As I wrote before their game against La Real, not sure if to support them dropping points or the opposite as I want us to remain on our toes going into the CL knockout stage. If we go too many points ahead, we might get complacent as last season. That certain game in a certain famous and legendary European capital....
