It's exactly because it was just Cagliari that made his performance special. First time he's actually raised his game for one of our less glamerous fixtures. He still has alot of work to do, but atleast now we can see some intention of becoming the player he once was.
As for not getting into the Barca team, maybe not, but I bet Pep would have taken your hand off if you offered him that kind of service against Athletic on Saturday.

i duly say no. cagliari offered tonnes of space for him and for his intended targets. team do not afford to give us that much space anymore after last season.
and again, cagliari have been utterly lucky in this serie a season

You could apply that to any player, like when Messi really came on the scene with the games with Getafe, you could say it was just Getafe, (who were lucky that season?), but it doesn't take away from the fact he played well.
I'm not convinced of Dinho yet, which is pretty damning in itself as he's hardly a fresh face at the club anymore. But he played fantastically yesterday, and also against Madrid, so i'm open to the idea that he might now finally be turning his game around.
His close control and perfectly placed long ball/crosses to Coke and Pato was superb, the kind of service that opens any team up.

brilliance? ronaldinho has a lot to show before we can consider him a good player. just a week ago, he got voted for the golden bin award. seriously, its just not me but a ton of journalists who also agree with me.
he cant beat a man but he has excellent vision for a pass. cagliari was playing a high line with no offside trap. check pato's goal for example. tactically, cagliari was all over the place hence ronaldinho was able to exploit that.
teams that play against barcelona simply do not allow us that much space and play a deep line (check all the games that we have play for example) with a flat back four. this ronaldino would absolutely be a waste of space for this barcelona.

I figured as much. You talk like Cagliari were some semi pro outfit that threw caution to the wind in the San Siro and pushed forward. They weren't the defensive basket case you make out.

i am genuinely talking from the highlights that all these people are wanking after. so if they can go nuts after ronnie's passes, i think i should be able to pick out the tactics that were seemingly wrong.
cagliari also isnt the most defensive team in serie A. so basket case or not, it is a completely different tactic they applied than what is applied against barcelona week in and out.

Apparently you rightfully acknowledging even in his current pretty good form, Gordinho has no place in Barcelona means you think Pedro is better.
Damn, you would think people would have moved on by now...Ronaldinho is in a good situation right now, he's still technically unrivalled but he's not the centre of the universe at Milan either, he gets attention as one of the best players on the neo-galacticos without being spoiled to the point where he can get away with murder like at Barcelona.
It's incredible, you would think Barcelona didn't exist before Ronaldinho.
