This is an unsolved problem. Who do you think should back him up, now that Vermaelen has proven that he is no fullback?

I think Sergi Roberto should get about 10 games this year at LB. Valverde always wants Roberto on the field, Semedo is one of the better subs on the squad. I think Roberto would be OK at least on the left side.

Miranda could be tried, first round Copa would be good for that. It is quite a jump from Segunda B to La Liga.

Here's to hoping that Lucho keeps resting him, adding Busquets to the 'persona non grata'-list and calls up Roberto every game from now on and giving him a full 90 minutes, so that Valverde can rest him and play Semedo (who is only marginally less shite)

That's true. He has more freedom when we play without LW. Same history was with Neymar's departure, he started to shine after that. I still remember that in his 3rd season Lucho moved to 3-5-2 in the second part of the season leaving him on the bench - what a bad move that was.

I think he was a good manager for us, we also got Ter Stegen, Rakitic, Umtiti, Suarez under him, & Sergi Roberto at Rb.

MSN was unstoppable, for that some credit goes to him as well.
