We would've probably got a draw based on Liverpool not being in a great day. PSG are tier 2 in Europe. Can't be compared with teams like Liverpool, Barca, Bayern, Madrid etc.

Yes they are. Team spirit to the full, relying less on individualities, better in Cups than in league format, play with intensity all the time, which allows them to punch above their weight. Both teams are managed by 2 of the greatest managers of today, both lost finals in CL against Madrid while eliminating a team managed by Guardiola. Both have some of the most intense atmosphere at their home ground which makes it close to impossible to win there in the Champions League.

Their football is nothing alike. While I can agree to intensity, they're entirely different sorts of pressure. Liverpool makes people scared of them, not because they create in attack but because they're clinical. Atleti are not always. Football of both teams is completely different really.

Liverpool is impressive. If they are clincial enough they dont have a weakness. They are strong fast and have enough individual strenght to break every defense. Its easy to say psg is done because i think almost if not every team would crumble against them. What i like the most is the way they defend. They dont defend like chicken without heads like we they can actually defend. To shut down neymar and mbappe like this you have to be worldclass on defending. They looked so ordinary...

PSG top3 looked bad because PSG has no midfield and build up play. Makes them loook bad. Look at PSG midfield.. No wonder why they sucked.

Fundamentals? Sure. Except every serious contender displays these traits. And more often than not it's the question of trophy hunger. Once they're no longer an underdog they tend towards the "lazy stars" and passion from the fans disappears once they've peaked.

And they rarely do.
