Im sure it doesnt. Im pretty sure France and UK have same reach and pool of players to pick from as Croatia or Uruguay.

You brought it up already to excuse yourself for any potential outcome. Timing isn't all that relevant, it's just about discrediting your opponent to proclaim that you are already the more deserving team. It would have not been much better had you said it with 4-0 up.

Yes, and I agree. Im just saying its complete coincidence 60% + of England and 80% of French NTs are made up from imigrants coming from their ex colonies.
Not like they have higher pool or something, Uruguay and Croatia can do the same.

Croatia 61 % possession against France more shots on goal as well. Croatia dominated the first half, only the ref gifted France 2 goals.
France play like a last place team does when they play a team like barça or City, they start the match first and foremost looking not to concede, everybody behind the ball, 2 or 3 defensive midfielders. Goals have to come from set pieces and maybe a counter. And a lot of those set pieces come from cheating (like the Griezmann free kick for the first goal) then there's the time wasting and so on
And yet they have the talent to play a lot more dominant and attacking football.
Thats what i mean with cynical negative football.
They might have won but apart fromt there own people they didn't charm anybody like Croatia or Belgium did.

There is no coincidence.
Likes of England have higher population than Croatia and Uruguay and more diverse population in that sense which obviously has links to the past.

They can't pick anyone who is not French, British or Belgian for example by birth or by naturalization. Anyway, what I am saying is the notion championed by ethno-nationalists, for example only ethnic French are French is ludicrous in today's world.

So then we agree. Like Umtiti, if he is going to play for any other team not Camerun, he will play for France duo to their colonial past, cultural, historical and linguistic connection.

Well we agree now but not on your original statement.
No Umtiti will chose to play for France as it is where he is eligible to play and country he chooses.
Every single player in the world has their choice of country due to their circumstances.

Well then we agree. Every single player in the world can in fact pick and chose country they wish to play for. In case of England and France its case of having 500m + people from Africa and Carribean gravitating towards them duo to their colonial status, strong historical and cultural ties. That is why its incredible coincidence that 8 out of 10 players in French NT have roots in those ex colonial countries.
