Who found him in final third/AM area on you graph?

The area he was on the ball more than any other.

In a reply to a post about Messis movement off the ball you claimed it is a 'myth' he ever run now just arguing the opposite.

Argentina are one dimensional. Icardi or atleast Higuain should had played. They need to use width. The same problem with Spain.
You can't play the same pattern every game.

Moving into space and running off the ball are very different things...

This is what I said earlier.

Horse shit. Don’t change the goal posts. You said Messi doesn’t run and I’ve said he never has. That Messi once ran is the biggest myth of all time.

Even Pep said that Messi runs the least because there are facets to his game.

Try harder. He makes himself available for passes as he always has.

Are you really going to argue for players passing him the ball when the defense hasn’t been split as an example of his lack of movement and running.

I’ve shown you Messi’s movement to find spaces and receive passes and all you’ve done is avoid the issue. Your argument that he’s stationary is a lie.

Thank you for backing up my point.

Try harder and stop contradicting yourself with this 'never runs' shit then moaning when someone says a less harsh statement in 'stationary too often'.

That graph of passes proves absolutely nothing to back up your point.

Who has claimed he does not make himself available for passes? Nice strawman.

Go look up another irrelevant graph to post that is your forte.

Where’s the contradiction? I accept the way Messi plays, you’re the one complaining about it and resorting to blatant fibs like him being stationery in congested areas.

I’ve shown you that he moves to various areas of the pitch to find space.

Running and movement off the ball are very different things.

He wasn't good today but the thing that bothers me the most is I don't know whether he'll be up for it when they face Croatia and Nigeria.

The moment of "Messi magic" we were so use to every single match appears to be diminish fast. Of course in 3 out of every 5 matches he's unplayable but when things aren't going his way, those moments of brilliance aren't as frequent. Heading to the second half of today, I expected Messi to be unplayable, decisive, and clinical but he was none of those. Then the PK happens, he misses, I expected him to be running at defenders, pressing. He did it for about five minutes, had that one shot on goal but soon reverted back to pacing himself with not much movement.

It's become very predictable when it will or will not be his day. It was very similar this last season but I think his brilliant free kicks covered a lot of it up.

Have you even been reading the posts?

Been plenty discussion about him dropping deep and no one at all complaining about him never getting on the ball.

You are making shit up after complaining Messi had 'gone to sleep' during the game and that he 'never runs'.

Again you are lying again I said 'too often' stationary in final third which is less than claiming he never runs and does not imply he is not getting on ball either.

The graph proves absolutely nothing in this discussion.

I think he’ll raise his game for the next match.

1-1 against Iceland feels like a loss especially with all the possession they had.

Still a point and the group can be won if they beat both Nigeria and Croatia.

Not beating Croatia. But I'm thinking draw against Croatia and then beat Nigeria. Don't care if finish second, France don't look like world beaters and anything can happen in knockout games.

He should NOT be taking penalties. He always looks nervous before he takes them. You can see the lack of self belief.

Aguero should take them for Argentina and Coutinho should take them for Barcelona.
