For club teams, perhaps. The fact is that Real Madrid and Barcelona start in 3 comps each year, so why should the CL count more than league + CDR? It shouldn't, because Real Madrid lost 2 competitions, and are currently in the semi's of CL.

Football can be cruel, but the lows make the highs feel that much better. In reality Barca should have won the CL 4 years in a row from 09-12, the ash cloud before the inter first leg meant travelling on train and they hung on for dear life in the return leg when we battered them but only won 1-0.

The Chelsea game in 11/12 same scenario, we could of scored 10 but somehow ended up drawing. Fate just had Chelsea winning that year.

Yeah it’s never nice seeing your greatest rivals win the CL over and over but we still have plenty of success ourselves.
You can’t fault Madrid’s intensity and desire to win, always working 100% right up until full time.
It’s the fact we beat a team of that quality that makes winning La Liga feel good. Some people under sell winning the league. When in my opinion it’s on par with the CL.
