Scary when watch the front players of Liverpool or City pressing and energy they have in midfield.

Barca have Suarez who defends a bit and Messi who does even less and a slow midfield.

Other teams look harder working and more pace about them and more variety.

If Barca play slow passing to Messi who trots towards ball and is faced with ten men Barca wont go far. Need more work rate, movement off the ball and variety.

Barely any point buying likes of Dembele or Coutinho if going to make them into system players for Messi and to an extent Suarez.

I mean, I feel disgraced whenever someone mentions Ronaldo is the best playeri n the world. Have they actually watched game of football? What Ronaldo and Messi does is on different level. Ronaldo being on the best team in the world right now helps him. Messi has to everything himself. Impossible even for his standards. Look at Argentina.. he is failure not winning World Cup. I agree. It doesn't pay off to just give the ball to Messi now. Too many good teams that can block him. He's just a player and his influence in CL has been getting less important in recent years.

Real has only one competition left. They can foucs all their energy on this. They will be very strong. Almost all other teams are still fighting for something else than CL. Real will be in semifinal again..

Well said. I think that's our problem. We are just building up too slow. Imagine Isco with this team, we would team of Snails.


That's why, Dembele, while frustrating at times could bring us something new. At least he has balls to try to challenge players and make things happen. We need more players like that. Although I question his defensive work ethic..

However, when did poachers win consecutive Ballon D'ors against superior individual talents? In a way, the adaption he has done is ingenious in Real, because they've had a good enough team to supply him with goals, and he still benefits from the memory of what he could do earlier in his career. Thus, arguably, he's got an easier time winning Ballon D'ors as a worse player overall. Ironic.

IT's true and that's why Ronaldo will never leave Real, unless he has to. He has it good.

He's their best and most decisive player, he creates his own chances with his movement

But this probably comes down to us being old team as well. We were different 10 years ago, when we had young legs. It's just different now.. We can't play same way as 10 years ago. Look at Messi ten years ago. He was energetic, but he can't do that anymore, unless you want him injured every second game.


We have to play differently, because our core age is getting there..
