Paulinho

It's true. The Chinese transfer window closes so they will not be able to sign players. But Barcelona can still until end of August. I don't know their squad so it might make things difficult if they don't have a replacement for him.

It means Guangzhou Evergrande can't sign a replacement so they won't sell Paulinho. They are competing for domestic and Asian Champion League QF to be played on August 22nd.

I would never come in a club where all supporters are against my signing. NEVER!

It's a recipe for fiasco! First wrong touch or first bad game and he'll be done! He is an idiot, there is no chance he will succeed here and he will also lose spot in NT.

If his only goal is to clear Messi's or Neymar's boots than OK but I think this IDIOT really believes he can succeed here which makes him even more stupid.

Only fans on internet forums are against him, I don't think Camp Nou would really boo him from the first moment. At least I hope not. First, it's not his fault if we'd sign him and second, eveyone deserves an opportunity.

I agree he's not what we need (but it's true we don't know what Valverde's plans are yet so hard to really prognose anything) but he's not as bad player as people make him look. He wouldn't be a starter in Brazil NT if that would be the case.

Not Paulinho's fault there's some retard in Barcelona who picked him as our target.
Would be great if we knew who that guy is.

What if that "retard" is Valverde?

There's more chance Valverde never heard of him. Him being tied in Spain for all of his life (bar short Greece stint) and not able to look past Basque players.

Some people would give a chance to any player on the market. I am just waiting for someone to say "He might help us, he is a great player"

He is not good, he is a shitty player and the fact that he plays for NT doesn't mean anything. Fred was first choice as no.9 for Brazil national team in 2014 WC and he was beyond shit. Being a starter in national squad is definitely not a reference point these days.

Don't know about that. He probably didn't "scout" players but not many coaches really do that (just think about Pep's obssesion with Chygrinsky after he probably watched him in one or two games and fall in love with his "great passing abilities"). Most coaches watch other teams but they do it more from a tactical standpoint than just focus on one player. If Paulinho wouldn't be a starter in his NT then I'd agree that Valverde most likely didn't watch him play in Chinese league, but I think he's watched him enough times playing for Brazil (and well, being good at that to be fair) that he knows what type of player he is and to maybe think Paulinho could work in his system (that we still don't know how will look here). Or on the other hand, he wouldn't like him enough so he'd block his transfer like he apparently did with Bellerin.

You really buy the theory he blocked Bellerin?

I am pretty much convinced Valverde (as much as most of that generation) know less players than most of the guys here. It's a generation of TV and papers and very much out of information age. And Spanish papers and media are very much incestous and anal about their own. And in that space there's a microcosmos of Basque land where he was closed in for good part of his career.

So yeah, he might have seen him on TV but followed him and asked for him? Come on.
